to me its dependent one said persons financial situation. I felt comfortable depositing 1k with knowing that if I lose that its no biggie....and if I have success than cool. In my opinion keep it cheap compared to ur bankroll considering you will never know what will happen with this site.
So just deposit an amount that u feel doesn't matter to you. And if you have success, (considering ur badges) just withdraw when u can to keep ur bankroll on said site relatively small considered buy in level just in case the even it gets seized.
This is just my thoughts and what I have been going by since BF just so I know I wont get caught again with a good amount of money like i have stuck on ft.... So I cash out when I can and frequently -
imho,i dont play as high as some do so my max amount of $$ ill ever keep on that site would prob be 3k, idk how some peeps even think bout keeping 10-20k.

8 weeks for a withdrawal doesn't cut it for me,with possible risk of shutdown, but just like skeeg said if your broke leaving 75% of your roll is a big mistake..but if you have a decent amount of $$ hidden then 10-15k wont make you miserable.
op,if your planning to leave 10-15k on this network(way too much) your srsly better off relocating to canada for 2-3 months then come back..imo
w/e, people choose to take risks. gl -
I've had some pretty absurd amounts on after binking 100k and it is not a settling feeling to say the least haha. Luckily there are ppl out there willing to move large sums of money for a minimal vig and can get you your money within a week. If you make any substantial amounts I HIGHLY recommend taking this route rather than trying to get a withered 2.5k check every month at best.

Edit: Might I add that busting your account also isn't the end of the world these days because you can simply buy some money from someone else w/ vig and save some money on your deposit, which sort of acts like an instant deposit bonus. -
Noob question, I assume vig is pretty much exchange rate but what does it stand for?
-
Yeah that's basically it haha. I'm not exactly sure what it stands for or if it is applicable in this context, but I'm sure a quick Google search could give you a better definition than I.

Most people are charging like 10 cents on the dollar, but if you search hard you can find better rates, ie 8 cents on the dollar etc. -
vigorish

Sounds like a plan but sucks to be on one of the sports betting skins which don't allow transfers

haha, yeah if i was to miracly win 20-25k in the sunday 100k on merge i would insta settle for an 17-18k vig exchange. beats waiting 5 months for all your $$ imho

definately not depositing, just wondering how much i should keep on if i want to play higher stakes, have about 850 on there now playing up to 3r and 15 FO. Just wondering what the guys who are playing the 30rs or the high rollers keep on their account.
-
Beforehand I was worried about not being able to redeposit with my card, but with the ability to transfer now and purchase money I'd definitely not mind taking a more aggressive route as far as keeping less money online goes. I've left around 2.5k on Merge and 2k on Bovada (sounds so weird lol) to give you an estimate. I'm usually skipping things like turbo 20r, 82r, and sometimes DHR if I don't satty in, and usually skip 100c unless it's a Sunday. I also haven't really been putting in heaps of volume cuz of school so that's something else to consider, but you can def get away w/ keeping less on like we discussed because of the ability to purchase $.
-
Full schedule playing pretty much every tournament from the early 60 FO to the late 30c turbo is about 2k, give or take depending on rebuys in the 20r, 75r and 55r. I'd probably keep about 5k in my account if I wanted to play a full schedule. Although, if you're on a skin where it's easy to purchase $, 3000 should probably be enough, as long as you're okay with skipping a day or two if you cant make a transfer happen.
-
Ya, I just went on a way bigger downer than I thought I would playing the full schedule (around 10k). No biggie if you can deposit/transfer easily though.
-
Western Union deposit was super easy for me, and fast.
-
To be honest, there's no real reason to keep a lot on there. Plenty of dudes are willing to snatch up Merge funds. I would move it off at .88/1 and if you ever have to redeposit, get it back on for .85. This way, you are always making extra lil cash flows AND you reduce the risk. I mean, 3-4 guys in that big 2+2 thread are ALWAYS buying funds. As for bankroll mangt, I dunno if you are asking in regards to this question, but I'd start with 50 and adjust. The really solid players don't seem to have a problem getting top 3 every 1:10-15 mtts. However, I seem to be running way worse than that (and sucking a lot more too).

ya ppl complain about slow withdrawals which i get, but the fact that u can sell on here really makes up for it imo
