  1. So i'm playing the big 55 ( former daily 90k ) And i open with 88, flop comes with two over cards and ends up pairing the board, I end up calling the river bet and he shows me J9, i muck my hand i say idiot. He responses: keep calling with 88 with 2 overcards on the board, so i say how the fuck do you know and he doesnt respond. Anyone have experience with this? How does he know? And don't say he put me on 88.

Sry for Dutch language but i'm sure you'll get what's going on.

  2. The HH always shows the hole cards whenever there is a call on the river. It's been that way for years. Other people can see your cards if you call & lose and you can see theirs.
  3. Hmm ok, because it says i mucked my hand so i was confused

This. All cards that make it to showdown are in the hand history

You never used the built in hand replayer and figured this out? Now use it to your advantage

you can request to see a mucked hand live anytime also in this situation, but its considered rude.

the hand went to showdown so everyone has the right to see the mucked hand. this also applies in live games but generally it is considered poor etiquette to ask to see the losing hand.

    i don't like you
  14. I don't like a hater such as your self either. I never have liked your arrogant attitude towards my self or other players. You have no class, you just want to bring people down to your low lvl. It is kind of sad if you ask me.

  15. these threads have been getting ugly lately..
  16. so instead of ranting and bitching out the guy you lost too why dont we utilize our mouse and click the hand history button/ or even bettr yet the replay button (since u r on stars) and notince almost immediately how all cards involved in a showdown can now be viewed by all players!!! TECHNOLOGY at its FINEST!

  17. Or possibly consider the fact that you played your 88's quite terribly, especially on the turn. When the bb defends to a min raise, ranging him should be based on history or possibly hud #'s, or just the sheer reality that ppl defend weak, esp to a min raise. I try not to get too bent out of shape when my medium pocket pair loses to overcards on the flop. Wp Op...

too true.. since we can't spazz on the virtual felt, this is the arena. Still proud to be American :)
  19. He was calling every hand and showing off bluffs. Now with the board pairing, i thought my hand was good. I prefer if people give advice instead of sarcasticly telling me i played that well...

  20. When i fist started playing online i was playing this guy in a heads up sit n go and he kept telling me exactly what cards i had, i was super tilted and mad and thought i was being cheated or something lol, then I realized it shows your mucked cards in the HH. I bet he got a good laugh at my expense lol

what is the argument for the losing hand having to show????

generally only annoying old people that will lose no matter what ask to see mucked hands. he called and had worse than j9, not too hard to narrow it down to a few hands

Because Poker is a people game played with cards.
Read Doyle Brunson's Super System to get his insights on being rude to other players. It can and will come back to haunt you at some future time.
  25. being rude only works online... when playing live... your subject to metaphorically having your cage rattled

I really never understood this concept and to me it is a matter of opinion. I tell all them live nits beforehand that they are gonna have to show me so dont be pissed off. The way I see it is that if I have to showdown a light call and have to give up information they are gonna show me theirs.

  27. the rule exists to prevent cheating, so asking dealer to see mucked cards is questioning the integrity of the other players, which could be considered rude. it has to do with how the game originated. learned that on here another post....
