  1. I think everyone on facebook should spam CNN's facebook wall for their lack of coverage of Black Friday. I think this a good idea. Idk.

  2. what would it accomplish if cnn covered balck friday? more mis-informed americans now thinking it's illegal to play online poker? more people saying 'i told you so' when they hear that you can't get your ftp money?

idk...when people that don't fully understand about the situation and black friday and online poker in general find out about this, they tend to not understand it correctly, and make really stupid assumptions/generalizations. i don't really think anyone would benefit from cnn covering black friday a lot

the only thing that could help is if they also cover about online poker being regulated, and could potentially stir up some interest in that...but i feel like they wouldn't do a good job of that...so...yeah...

  3. pretty sure the general public in any country care more about the damage of hurricanes than they do about whether people can play poker online.

  4. More to the point, what do you even expect this to accomplish? Generating more media coverage of online poker? If spamming could generate more coverage then Ron Paul would be by far the most covered presidential candidate.

While I'd like to think that if the media devoted more attention to issues surrounding online poker the public would be better informed and some of the issues Gags brought up would be alleviated, I simply don't have that much faith in the public. But if you're of the mind that media coverage would do some good, I think there's gotta be a better way to achieve it than spamming a facebook page.
  5. i see current mainstream media picking up storys of homegames of toby maguire and baseball players, painting poker in negative light.a story about big name pros company ripping off billions prob not going to help pass any bills. more negative press will not help imo.
  6. well no one even knows that full tilt got shut down where I am from. They still ask me Hows onlone poker going and stuff like that. It is a newsworthy story too. It is too big of a story not to be covered, and I don't think people would be like "they got what they deserved" I think they would sympathize.

  7. Every time the mainstream media covers ipoker they show clips of online casinos with virtual roulette wheels, blackjack, and blinking 'casino bonus' signs. If the media can't get something as simple as online poker right, one can only imagine how misinformed the American public is about just about everything. Good journalism seems to be a lost art.

  8. mass media misleading ya!

    Truth is not on television.
  9. Not to quell your enthusiasm but im thinking the political agenda goes something like this...

    1. Economy
    2. War
    3. Health Care
    4. Rep vs. Dem
    5. Taxes
    6. Natural Disasters
    7. Kim Kardashian
    8. Cast of the upcoming season of Dancing with the stars
    9. Human attacked by Pit Bull
    ....
    184. ... Who is the Grifter
    ....
    2084. ... Black Friday.

To your point, informing people is needed. Congress has been known to focus on less important issues I suppose.

On a more serious note...why cant the PPA get a branding sponsor with Lobby power...shit Andy Beal is respected with lobby power, Ben Affleck is apparently serious about the game...why not reach out to him, plenty of high stakes pro's have played live cash with these guys. The only way you bring it to the media forefront is buy appealing to the lowest common demonator.
