Does anyone have any recommendations on countries to move to that are very cheap to live in? Obviously want to play poker but main reason is to retire early and just looking for something cheap. Just moving by myself. May do an apartment share. Thinking about Costa Rica, Belize, or Ecuador.

Depends on how much you want it to be like the USA. England and Canada are mostly english speaking and allow online poker. Brazil is not a bad option either since I know a few people who live in Suo Palo. Do some shopping around and visit some of the prospect countires you want to live in. Find out everything you can from taxes, cost of living, online poker regulations, and even if the Live Poker Circiuts occasionally go there. Alot to think about but I think within the next year we will see Online poker again in the USA.

Just got back from Thailand, tons of poker grinders there. Gorgeous girls, beaches, and super cheap to live. $300 a month gets you a pretty decent apartment in Bangkok, including bills. You can eat out 3 times a day for $10 if you want.

Had to edit, $300 not $3000 -

Costa Rica- can easily be done. Along with Panama, the most expensive countries in Central America.
Belize- Not possible to grind in Belize. Internet is terrible.
As the dealer guy said, Thailand could be an option along with many other Asian countries. Much cheaper than comparable Latin countries. Philippines , Thailand , Cambodia, all very cheap and has all you need to grind.

If the guy is trying to live cheap, no way does he need to pay $3000/mo for an apt. in Thailand. You can rent two or three mansions for that amount.
Decent place to live outside of BKK, get be had for $150-$200 a month. In BKK $300 will be enough.
Chiang Mai, the second largest city it is very cheap to live. A place I have stayed for $150/month. -
O shit, I meant $300 month, my bad, typo

Ecuador has some real nice and cheap places. They also use US currency.

Thailand in general is an easy country, everything is here and convenient. I'm in Chiang Mai now and absolutely love it here. Only city I have been to in Asia so far that I could live in. Not only could, but would love to. Place is awesome. Apartment I am in now costs less than $150/month not including internet or utilities. Room is small and there is no kitchen but location is good. The food is cheap, $10 a day and you are eating good. It's not Bangkok but the night life is solid. Really love it here, have had such an amazing time

Cheap airfare back and forth to the US too.
Quote from a buddy that was there for some months... "there is only 4 things in my life important to me... beer, cigarrettes, food, women and all 4 are terrible in Nicaragua..."
So many better places imo, sure it is cheap but sometimes cheap isn't good...
