    Thought I'd start a thread since I have way too much time on my hands right now & i always seem to be interested in these types of stories. First of all this is by no means an "attempting to go pro" thread. This is just something to do as i search for a job. I was in pharmaceutical sales in WV but got laid off in Apr (bc that's how big pharma rolls), got married in May (bc I'm an idiot.. jk.. sorta), and moved down to AL in June (bc of my wife's job).
    So currently during my free time (all my time is free) I play on Carbon under areugooin. I mainly play tourneys ($5-$33 + satty into $60+) and PLO + PLO8 cash. Generally in the past I've had a BRM/tilt issue so I'm hoping this thread will help with that. I'll post hh's and track my progress.

    I guess I need to make a goal to make this more interesting but it's hard to set one bc as soon as I get a job I'll quit playing like 90%. I plan on playing in a few circuit events in Biloxi so how about I just make weekly goal? My current poker BR is approx 2.1k. I'll set my week ending goal at 2.8k. Also, a side goal will be to knock out blazinchron (other member who has a tracking thread going) from one tourney.

    good luck. If you don't reach your goal each week, do NOT play out of your br or means. Continue to put in the grind and know that there will be months were your goal will not be met. That will be ok, you will just know there are things you need to work on and get iti back the next week/month. Good Luck

    Or just set your goal to be something you can easily make. Like take your bankrole up to 2.3k by the end of the week playing within your means.

    had a long day, played a ton. min cashed in the 125k and took a tough 17th in the mini 30k - went from 6th with 17 left to out after QQ<A9 AIPF then JK<Ac5c AI on Jc8c6x board :-( lost about $80 overall.

    ran into this situation deep in the mini 30k. villain just lost more than half his stack 4 hands ago. he then jammed all in the last two hands and was not called. my image should be tight, i havent been opening alot or 3betting much. do you ever make this call?

    hey man, i am in Pensacola, abotu half hour from you. There is Biloxi about 45 mins one way and Pensacola has a dog track that is super soft filled with bad rednecks and ton of fish.. have you made your way to either? WSOPC stars in Biloxi thursday.

    Whats up man, I haven't been to either yet. I actually didn't know Pensacola had a room, but I plan on playing in a couple events in Biloxi next week. I'll prob play the 6 Max on Tuesday and then if I don't make day two, I'll play the $365 event on Wednesday then decide if I want to try and satty into the main. Are you going?

    First thing it sucks to answer on hand history already knowing the result but I will try, and obv you are way more accomplished than me. I think You are too deep to put half you stack on A7. You seem to be assuming he is on tilt which may be, but maybe he hit good hands twice and is acting like tilt. Also, even if he is just crazy, at this stage you dont want coin flips so any pair is bad and you lose to half the ace X hands. So best case he is pushin with smaller ace or KQ and under. I dont think this will be the case enough times to call. So I fold.

    The guy that mentioned Pensacola is correct. Super soft and really bad player but be aware that there are A LOT MORE short stacks there than at most other places except for maybe some weekends.

    You should definitely play a few IP Biloxi events but if you don't there will be an event starting at the Beau Rivage after that. The play should be reasonably terrible there too.

    Thanks guys, def look forward to playing in Biloxi/Pensacola. I guess I'll give an update of my progress. I've played/ran well this week with many deep runs and some final tables but have fallen short quite a few times or else I would be having a huge week. I really need to work on my end game bc I haven't been able to close out and win a tourney. As happy as I am with my results, I am a little annoyed that I haven't shipped one given all the opportunities I've had. Anyway, I've surpassed my weekly goal of 2.8k and am currently at 3.6k so that's good. Sorry I don't have any HHs. I'll try to be better about it in order to make this more interesting.

    P.s. I had my first interview for pharma sales. Was a bit rusty but didn't go terrible. The hiring manager had some reservations in me not knowing the area since I just moved here. I got a call back but she told me there were a few ppl more qualified so they passed on me. Oh well, moving forward. gl
