The confidence part is important to respect the time you win/loose and that is only achieved by experience.

If you know you will get in those positions over and over again u dont stress final table bubbling tournaments. Its inevitable if you play poker that you win and loose chips.

Also learning to see things the way they are and not seeing yourself as a victim helps a lot.

For example my last ft on the big55 vs youaremelon and 6 fish. 20K first and I'm CLer vs melon's 3rd place stack. Odds are one of us will win the tournament more often then that a fish will win it.
He raises UTG, i have QQ and 3bet the BTN, he 4bets I 5bet shove and he snaps JJ.. boards runs AKT x Q, he wins the pot and wins the tournament.

Bad beat?.. Yes.. vs his hand and my hand.. definitely a bad beat. But in reality vs his range there I'm running pretty good with QQ being against the bottom of his range. More often then not Ill be up against AK or KK+.

Or another example.. You open the BTN with 88 and the SB rejamms 20BBs with TJo and the board runs xxx J x. We complain, o we run bad...... But before we decide to r/c we know he can rejamm overcards. When we call we are only flipping and again he could have had 99+ as well.

So face reality and stop complaining. Its not like you where holding a lock........

very well put never looked at like that mate thanks for

  7. yeah what rh said. kinda makes me sick when someone cries for an hour in the chat about losing AA vs KK. This is a flip and both players are ahead of the other player's range --> +ev! get it already. Think in ranges, stop always putting your villains on AK and you will actually win something sooner or later. there's a great app in the app store, called "OddsQuizzer". it really helps you get better understanding of your real chances in poker. most dont know that QQ vs AK is not 50/50, it 57/43! but since both hands prolly get in preflop if both players would exchange hands it stays a flip. after you understand how the game works you wont cry after single hands anymore, except when you make major FTs and there's really life changing money on the line. tilting is human, almost everybody does this, but after u learned how to control tilt u'll forget that hand 5 min later and in no way will that hand will influence your future play.
  8. Still. if you have a streak of loosing, over and over again. That flip, when deep in a small tournament, still fucks up with your emotions. It took me a long time to overcome this, and even now it sometimes happens..

I have this discussion with a lot of people but learning to play good even when tired, not motivated, being on a downer or w.e. has to be better in the long run (learning how to). So many people make excuses not to play and lack volume. If you are playing for fun, I can understand. If you are playing to make a living, you should push yourself to improve on those aspects.
