  1. Everyone do this one today, even if you haven't before, its quick and easy!

  2. Ok! Happy to say my brain did good with the picture you provided.

Took slightly more than 30 seconds though because I watched the video, which is 38 seconds.

I thumbed up the text part as well as the video, but we're in real trouble. There are as many votes against us as there are for us. I know you said the vote count is slow, but the ratio is what I'm concerned about.

SO EVERYBODY GET THIS DONE. If *I* can do it, pretty much *anybody* can do it.

IT TOOK LESS THAN A MINUTE!
  3. Weekend of September 17th, 2011

Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. Please also consider revising your profile location to indicate support for the action thread. The past 24 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

It will take you less than thirty seconds! The House Committee on Energy and Commerce has asked for Facebook and Twitter questions for today's jobs forum. As this is the committee that will hear HR 2366, let's hit this one good. We want them to hear from lots of us.

The forum is at 2:30 pm ET, so try to get this entire plan done by then. If you cannot, let's still send these out throughout the day -- it will help us to show support within this important committee for our position.

    1. Send a prefilled, editable pro-poker Twitter message HERE. (Verify that your Twitter account is not set to "private".)
    2. Try to wait at least an hour (but send prior to that if necessary to get it sent by 2 pm ET), then send another Twitter message HERE.
    3. Like the FB page HERE (you can unlike when done if you wish), then post and like pro-poker comments HERE.
    4. Send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE.

Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. Please also consider revising your profile location to indicate support for the action thread. The past 26 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

Given the events of this morning, plus the fact that the E&C hearing just concluded, let's start tomorrow's action early.

Let's tell the Justice Department that ALL player funds held by Full Tilt Poker rightfully belong to the players. We can do this in less than 30 seconds.
    1. Send a prefilled, editable pro-poker Twitter message HERE. (Verify that your Twitter account is not set to "private".)
    2. Try to wait at least an hour, then send another Twitter message HERE.
    3. Like the FB page HERE (you can unlike when done if you wish), then like the pro-poker comment HERE.
    4. Return to the main page HERE to post and like pro-poker comments. Either cut-and-paste the following, or write your own: "Funds seized from Full Tilt Poker and its processors rightfully belong to the players. Will you use all recovered funds, including those from prior payment processor seizures, to repay players? Thank you."
    5. Follow the daily action plan on Twitter HERE and on Facebook HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. Please also consider revising your profile location to indicate support for the action thread. The past 27 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

    ================

If you wish to do more, let's call the Justice Department and share our thoughts on the FTP situation. Some contact info:
    • Department of Justice Main Switchboard: (202) 514-2000
    • Office of the Attorney General Public Comment Line: (202) 353-1555
    • Office of the Attorney General: (202) 514-2001
The DoJ testified to Congress their opinion that Americans are not breaking federal law in playing (they believe sites themselves are not lawful, though): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTvd8...outu.be&t=2m8s.

    Some tips:
    • If you do not wish to identify yourself as a poker player, perhaps refer to yourself as a "poker enthusiast" or something like that.
    • If you wish to state that you have a balance locked up on a site but prefer not to mention that you have played the game online for money, simply do not volunteer the extra information. State that you have money locked up on a site and leave it at that.
    • I am not a lawyer, so please do not construe any of this as legal advice.

  16. The doj has 150m they took from FTP, PPA is trying to get that money to pay the players. So are their intentions to pay the full 100% back to US citizens, giving me nothing. I don't think my money is worth more than anyone elses but it's ridiculous when people with under 1k ect.. get 100% and i end up getting an irrelevant % of 20k back.

I don't think that's what happening but i want to know before i support something whos best interest is in americans

  17. Do the recent DOJ charges give the DOJ an avenue to pursue "funds" via any entity that profited from FTP pre or post BF? Particularly interested in pre>post. I think we are starting to see that many knew of FTPs cash flow probs pre BF.

Will we being seeing them target affiliates, WSOP, NBC, ESPN, etc also? I mean obv if any large companies suspect they were in the wrong would they just pay and avoid the troubles like google did?

So many avenues for the DOJ to lean on. The worst is yet to come It would seem. Huge step backwards for online poker in general.

“We the People” Poker Petition to President Obama

We the People is a new addition to the White House website that allows Americans to petition the Obama Administration on a range of issues. Per the site, “if a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it is sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.”

This is a great way for us to ensure the administration hears from the poker community, so let’s all take a moment to sign the petition electronically.

The site is getting a lot of traffic, so you may get either a "site is under maintenance" or a "404 not found" message. Just try it a few times and you'll get through. Even with this slight delay, it should take less than one minute to complete:

    1. Go HERE and click "CREATE AN ACCOUNT."
    2. The site will send a confirmation email. Click on the link in that email to continue.
    3. Click "✔ SIGN THIS PETITION" to vote (if you are not redirected automatically, go HERE to vote).
    4. Send a prefilled, editable Twitter message to invite others to sign this petition HERE.
    5. Send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "signed", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 29 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!
