Just finished 4th in the $11 turbo 4k gtd on stars.
At one point in the tournament I had 2 bb's. I stayed composed and played my game.
Lesson learned:
YOU'RE NEVER REALLY OUT OF IT UNTIL YOU'RE OUT.
That's my chip and a chair story. What's yours? -
this is so true...sometimes it pays to shortstack ninja your way to the FT and hit some hands in the opportune time then bink the whole thing.

i once won a tourney heads up from having 5k in chip v villans 600,000 lol won like 7 all in in a row or somit it was sweeeeeet

Chip and a chair ftw.
I was down to 1 ante(!) once in the multi hundo on FTP with like 30 left. I finished 3rd for almost 13k! -
dont remember which tourney it was but one time i was massive CL 5 handed over 100bbs deep i spewed really hard and then lost a race and was down to 1.5bbs. I ended up making a large comeback to CL with nearly the same stack, then i spewed really hard again and ended up still finishing in 5th. Needless to say i wasn't that happy with myself. CSB !

Was the slight chipleader @ the FT with 6 players left and my AA got sucked out by A6. Was left with like 1.5 BBs. In the end I shipped it, mostly thanks to getting AA again like 2-3 hands later.

Not quite chip and a chair but Dave Gorr at Aussie Millions 2011 was 3 to 1 CL heads up before going down 13 to 1 then coming back to TID. Sat next to him in a sattie in the weekend. Nice guy but very straight forward player. Gives hope that a hack like me can bink a good win with the right cards.

i once really had 1 single chip and made a sick come back to the avg stack. the table went just crazy lol but i didnt ship the tourney or anything special........................ in der turbo takedown i once had 10 chips left and lucked my way up to like 20k chips somehow, just to be sat on another table and loose QQ vs AA for like 70BBs in the very first hand on that new table.

When I started playing (this was Live 2 years ago), I was down to 1/4 of a BB. (one fourth)
Yep.
Came back with 15 runners to come in 2nd.
Anything is possible in this game.
Like you say...NEVER give up as long as you are holding a chip. :-)
