Low Stakes Comp

    I can see a high and med comp but not a low.

    Would there be any interest in a weekly comp sometime in November?

    smthg longer than a week would be cool though.
    all potential interested pls post.
    hopefully a long time user/poster with experience in organizing comps would be involved and willing to take charge.

    Wouldnt the 180's be harder to track WaxJax?

    I wouldnt mind a 180's comp, i never play them at present and could use some motivation to give them a go.

    Im guessing this would be a solo comp?

    I would be interested in a week long comp. What stakes would we do for the 180's?

    Hey Arty, OPR does track the 180's, i just meant it would mean someone fiddling around with spreadsheets or something as P5's doesnt track them.

    Sounds good, like socrates said if a long term P5er would hold thats great. If we do 180 mans we could do teams and singles.

    Looks like some good interest already, if someone could make it *Official* and we can tinker with it get going,

    Wacky would you be down to do this?

    Just want to get the parameters going. I think the $8 turbo is a good level, everyone agree that is interested? I also think it should be capped at 100 tourneys, so volume doesn't become a factor. If its not capped, I won't be in personally.

    I was supposed to comment on cap, yes 100% agree this is fun, i dont want to become who can be the most sleep deprived for a week/month.

    $8 turbo sounds good, 100 game cap, what time period would guys like for 100 games, what ever would get most players. 2 weeks?

    Buyin $20-50? Do we want teams of 3 picked as a draft that always seems fun and a singles aswell?

    I think 100 $4.50's would be more suitable than the $8 turbos tbh

    Yer id probs prefer non turbo's too.

    Im happy with the 100 cap.

    We could mix them up say 100 game cap (50)$4.50 and(50) $8 turbo? I want this to be fun and fit in with playing a normal schedule.

    If everyone keeps posting there comments and if they would sign up to what buyins, we can get something up and running

    If it were 4.50s with 100 cap on volume and we get a decent scoring system then I'm in. 1 week would be fine for me but don't mind if its longer with the 100 cap.

    Also Im happy to hold.

    Whats going on with this can someone set this up preferably 4.50 180 mans?

    I wont play if the $8 turbos are involved as playing 50 4.50's is only going to take me 2 days.

    ok so 100 $4.50 180mans Ship $25 to 'X'?? 2 week period just to make it easier and not deter people from signing up.

    Would sugguest 1-8 ppl - winner takes all , 9+ 1st 75% 2nd 25%?

    $25 is just a random figure i picked, open to discussion, Wacky happy to hold?

    I can hold, and want to also do a $8 100 game $100 contest, since I am not playing any $4.50's. I see no reason why we can't do both, especially if we spread this one as well over 2 weeks. People can play 1 or both contests. Should I create a seperate thread for the contest?

    Good idea wacky, maybe $50 for the $4.50 100 man contest and $100 for the $8 as you put, I think there will be alot of interest in both anyway

    sounds like a good idea ......... as usual. not sure if il be in both as i hate the turbo 180s but we shall see.

    i like $50 for the 4.50s an $100 for the $8

    just out of curiosity how will it be tracked??? and just to clarify, its first 100 results not best 100

    If I am tracking, it will be first 100. If its possible to take a break after 100 it would be helpful, if not I will figure it out from sharkscope. Will cost me a few searches to run this is all.

    well if your having to personally track it might be nice to add in $5 rake for mr wacky


    definately think it should be first 100 for your sake and also to stop the big volume grinders running over the competition. 2bh i wont play if its not cos i just wana play 100 and then get back to mtts

    Probably would cost me no more than $5 for the searches in entirity depending on amount of people, can take 15 cents per person off the first place prize of each pool to pay for the sharkscope searches. If people post when they have done 100, it will cost me 3 searches per person or about $0.15 per person.

    If this is a good idea, I will make a sign-up thread, leave it open until Saturday, and play starts Sunday November 6th and would end Saturday Nov 19th.

    OK, locking this up. Here is the new contest thread. I am going to charge initially $0.25 per person to cover for people that may not post when finished and thus increasing the amount of searches I need to do. I will refund any funds collected for unused searches to the winners of the contests if there are any.
