  2. Dont know you, but you sound like an intellegent kid. Most young people make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. That being said, you have spent the a big part of your life (4 of 17yrs) getting ahead at the expense of others, otherwise known as theft by deception. You are saying the right words now, but talk is cheap, and only time will tell what legacy you will leave. Dont be another Ken Lay from Enron who got rich at the expense of others. All that money doesnt mean shit to him now, does it?
    Good luck to you.
  3. i stole a map, but i thought it was free. does that count?

  6. while i doubt the sincerity and timing of the apology, i am glad to see this guy kinda owning up to what he did.

to fully exonerate himself, hed have to give back the money he stole from everyone, but that wont ever happen, so he will always be a thief.
  7. Well said JWD
  8. lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

    Daut owns.

  9. so sick of guys cheating, getting caught, and then apologizing thinking everything is back to normal. since when does it only take an apology to get in the good graces of people. Everyone here says give the kid a break he was young. Yes, but repeated misdeeds and cheating shows an understanding and volition of what is wrong and disregard for any rules.

But it's ok...just apologize and everyone will exonerate you. Especially if you're halfway decent in poker.

  10. let's forgive him and see what the kid can really do!
  11. K. We'll all wait for you to make a mistake...then we'll all beat you with bamboo sticks.
  12. I was doing a lot worse shit when I was 16. I got your back too. You paid your price. GL Josh. I must say that your apology would carry more weight if you come COMPLETELY clean, name names, etc.

ps you still owe me some lessons I pd for :)

COME ON GUYS HE WAS 16 friggin years old - Britney Spears' sister is 16 and pregos.
  13. I got your back too josh. If someone wants to get to you they gotta get thru me first.

    GRRR!!!!!!

edit: I am 150 lbs soaking wet, i might not be much help

  14. seriously... i love when people talk about fighting people in casinos. Casinos in alot of ways are the safest places you can be - where else is there more security and video equipment?

apestyles is an instructor at PocketFives Training . To get more of his advice and to watch his training videos, click here.

  15. All I am saying dpotz is that the true measure of a man are his actions, not what he says. So sorry this doesnt meet your expectations.
  16. that video is classic i just spit mountain dew all over laptop
  17. I'm pretty sure my left testicle could beat u in a fight.
  18. if i cheat repeatedly you have my blessing in trying

  19. i just have to say it's retarded how zangbezan cheats, then says he's sorry, JJprodigy cheats, than say's he sorry. when the next person is caught cheating, he's going to say he's sorry. It doesn't matter that they are immoral or unethical; they just happened to get caught, so now they have to apologize to save what little bit of face they have left. what a joke this is, jjprodigy cheating for the past couple years, now he is turning of age to play live events/online and he now apologizes.

    sigh

You never told anyone to try to get accounts from broke players and or people who want to change names so you can get away with more?
You never had others try to find out whose leaking info about you to stop the spread of the truth?
Are you bringing security to PCA/aussie?

  21. JJ,

It takes a bigger man to apologize than it does to fight. You fucked up as a kid...that's what kids do. Your taking the right steps as an adult and I admire that. On a side note I would like to take any bets that the only bruise JJ walks out of PCA with is to his ego. GL sir and I truly hope your aplogy is genuine.
  22. Me sober >>>>>>> apestyles 22 beers deep in a fight.

    drinks are on me

  23. couldn't have said it better, traction. so standard. we've seen this same scenario over and over on this board, and the outcome never changes.
  24. there obviously had to be some prelude before his apperance at pca.

i'm not really sure how to react to this at the moment. i think i need to let it sink in for a while before i respond.

  25. loooooool at the online poker community kicking JJ's ass.

the online poker community is prob the most passive laid back group of people youll meet, they might not pass JJ the bong in between hands but thats about the most severe thing thatll happen to him lol.

I have no beef with JJ, im not sure if we ever have played (most likely have) but i look forward to playing/meeting you in the future, gl with all this

  26. obv i know he's not really afraid of getting beaten up at pca and obv it would never happen

  27. JJ has a good friend in gbmantis for backing him up, and gbmantis has taken his fair share of abuse over this ordeal. The players in our community that play excellent poker and that have a fan base have a responsibility...a responsibility to the integrity of the game online. I kind of laughed when I wrote that because there are so many ppl cheating, but they're unknowns and really have nothing to lose and everything to gain. JJ being young and greedy made some mistakes...we all have. Myself personally <3 the poker community and respect the hell out of ALL the players who give a shit. I believe that this kid is really hurting that he fucked up...but atleast he cares and I think thats most important that he care about HIS community. JJ is def not going anywhere so if some dont except this then oh well. GL JJ
  28. That's right. 18 seemed far off 3 years ago. Didn't care what anybody thought about him then or even 1month ago. Now it's time to go out into the real world and meet everyone whos been scammed for 3 years and it's oh shit time.
  29. Holding my breath for Zpaceman's well thought out response...

I agree with Jeff in that I think the community deserves to know a little more information, and perhaps some backstory. I'd also like to hear shaundeeb's comments addressed.

Basically, if you are going to apologize, then you should come clean entirely. Otherwise it just comes off as a half-hearted attempt to garner sympathy and support prior to your live debut.
  30. I would like to see a complete confession. Full disclosure. What he did, who he did it to, where he did it, when.
I would like to see an offer - and fulfillment thereof - of some manner of community service to the online poker community.
This "apology" is a good beginning, which I applaud, but truthfully Mr. Field seems to fall far short of satisfactory compensation for his numerous malfeasances.
