Buying a new screen soon and was not sure which would be better for multi-tabling (which can fit more tables comfortably):
A 24" LCD with a 1920x1200 resolution like the Dell Ultrasharp: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824260047
or a 27" LCD with a 1920x1080 resolution like this Samsung: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001551 -
Would look into Achieva Shimian QH 270's have heard great things about them as far as value goes.

this is completely wrong...resolution is how many pixels are on the screen at once...more pixels = more physical space to put windows and stuff. it doens't matter if your monitor is 45"..if hte resolution is 800x600 you won't fit many tables at all
definitely get the 24" monitor with the better resolution (1920x1200)...the other resolution on the 27" (1920x1080) is more of a resolution used for viewing movies and whatnot...the one that is strictly for computing, with more screen space (1920x1200 is more) will get you much better results and you will be able to fit more tables more comfortably

so whats your resolution?
-
^^^ definately check this alot of computers arent capable of displaying this resolution especially if they are slightly older...

1920x1080 i only use about a quatre of the screen though because i stack em
leave mcandrews alone its not his fault, he is just special -
2 monitors with max resolution but make sure your video card can support it. Most new vcards support high resolution. Also make sure you get the correct dvi. Hdmi only supports 1080 and vga supports 840. That's only if quality matters to you. Or it makes no difference except for the correct dvi plug.

Both 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 will be able to fit 12 tables tiled with no overlap max.

pic is 24 inch with 1920x1200 but will be the same with every 1920x1080 just very little gap at bottom (if any because std size taskbar is 32 pixels)
IF you get a 2560x1440 or a 2560x1600(30in or bigger only) you can fit 20 tables tiled no overlap.
as for which of those 2 monitors.
They will both fit the same number of tables tiled no overlay but:
The 24 inch 1920x1200 will be clearer yet have slightly smaller actual screens due the to the smaller size.
The 27 inch will be less clear but a larger physical size.
First check out what the max resolution your machine can handle is. Usually you require stand alone graphics cards (not on board or generically supplied ones) to support 1200 height
Below is a 30inch with 20 table no overlap at 2560x1600 resolution.
Reason: first image wasn't working, removed -
i tried both options. def go with the 27" and arrange them with a slight overlap! after having 2x27" for a long time i ordered 2x24" to fit more tables. the tables were just too small and i sent them back on the same day. just make sure your cards and the buttons aren't hidden by other tables and you'll be fine with 2x27"!
when i click on the pic the tables have a great size imo. i guess they will have the same nice size on the 30" screen? damn if i wasnt lazy and play on my laptop anyway id insta order it.Originally Posted by C_Bomb

Yeah if you clik the photo then click actual size it will show you the real size on 30inch @ 2560x1600

The physical size of the table on a 30inch screen with 2560x1600 resolution is 120.24mm X 87.675mm (4.73x3.45 inches)
To get some perspective, if you put 2 credit cards in front of you so they are on laying sideways and space them out 9mm(3/8 inch) that is the physical size of the table on your screen.
