Congrats on all your successes, wanted to say that I have played a bunch with tiger and he has gotten infinantely better than a half year ago (if im in any position to judge poker talent) so I am positive if you ever took on coaching it would also be a great success. I dont really have a question other than I hope we cross paths at a livement sometime soon and wish you continued good luck.

What are you going to do now? Moving out of the country an option?
-
Are you still alive? If so, what's next for you?
-
so what are your plans now that poker is gone?
what do you think will happen with poker?
What will you be doing on Sundays?
Just curious how it affects a real successful poker player. Thanks have a good one. -
1. I don't like the trade I think it hurt our chances big time. The cs needed perkins to beat LA in the finals I still think they will get to the Finals but Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol will be too much for them to overcome without that big horse in the middle. He brought toughness and size something the Celtics need to beat LA . He was hurt and this was the last year of his contract and we werent going to be able to resign him so I guess management looked at it like that.

1. First off, did you like the trade the Celtics made mid season, Kendrick Perkins for Jeff Green. and do you think with the absence of Perkins will hurt their chances this year?
2. Do you honestly think the Celtics have a chance against the Bulls deep in the playoffs? haha im a faithful Chicago fan
3. Better actor, Ben Affleck or Matt Damon?
4. Where does Good Will Hunting rank on your all time favorite movies?
5. Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks coffee?
6. How often, if you do, do you workout in a typical week?
7. Are you nervous in the slow start the Red Sox have gotten off to?
8. Favorite NFL team?
Good Luck in the future, and keep it up.
2. I think the Bulls are great. Huge DRose fan and think he is hands down MVP but all that youth will catch up to them in the finals against the Cs. If Chicago stays healthy and the main pieces they have stay in place I think you will have your championship within the next few years. Celtics over Bulls in 6!
3. Matt Damon
4. Top 5
5. Starbucks hands down. I have starbucks everyday and when I travel I have to sometimes settle for DD and I hate it.
6. I use to workout 5 days a week when I was younger played basketball everyday for 10 years. Now Im lazy and usually only play basketball once a week go for a run maybe twice a week play golf a few times a week and have cut the gym out. I keep telling myself I need to get back into the gym I just gotta get there.
7. Yeah not the best start but baseball is a long year
8. Patriots -
Haha shes a good wife Im lucky to have her I would be jealous too! Haha about your 2nd comment I hope you are getting better but you never know :)

In your answer to "Shipthisplz" post you said, almost word by word, what I said in a group discussion we were having, and that lead me to ask Joe to post the hand here and ask for your opinion. That you and I could see a hand the same way means I'm getting it, or you're getting worse?
Over a year ago, a good friend told me that a very very good player said I was way too tight. Ever since, I've 3-4-5 bet the living hell out of him, and always, no exceptions, got away with it. He is, hands down, 10 times the player I am, but don't you think that even the best tend to stereotype opponents way too much, and fail to realize their adjustments?
I see you're a basketball fan. Thoughts on Gasol?
Ever visited AK? Plans about it?
I'll try to word this one correctly: Call me a nit, but I can't bring myself to pay $250 for a Kobe steak in Vegas, when my sister is making $8/hour as a security guard in Spain. I love going out for dinner, but when the bill reaches certain point, I stop enjoying the food and start thinking what she could do with that money. That was just an example, but I hope you get the idea. Are there any moral considerations that keep you away from spending too much money in some items or services?
That's it for now. Thank you again for your time
I think alot of people are playing on autopilot and I know I tend to do it sometimes as well. If you 3bet me and it is a close I will usually fold and if Moorman 3 bets me and its close I will shove so I just think that is a natural tendency and something that you can use to your advantage and by the sounds of it you are. If you continune to 3 bet him I think he will catch on.
Gasol is a good basketball player with a ton of talent but he is soft. If he only had some toughness to him he would be great and a force to be reckon with. It would be tough for him though because he is more of a finesse player so it is what it is I think. He will always be very good just never dominate like some big guys can.
I have never visited AK although I heard it is absolutely beautiful. I would love to visit but it is a long way away so no plans in the near future.
I think thats a good thing especially when it comes to poker. I understand exactly what you are saying. Both my parents were teachers and I never went without but teachers don't make big bucks so I was aware of the value of a dollar growing up. Too many poker players blow through too much money "ballin". I enjoy nice dinners and some of the finer things in life so I try not to focus too much on the price but with online poker being shutdown I may have to cut back dramatically. No problem glad I am glad you have enjoyed it!

Thanks bro. I really appreciate the kind words and Im glad to be part of your retirement coming out party. Could you please teach me how to crush ftops events like you do? Im jealous but of course always pulling for you. That is if we ever get to play at full tilt again. Sighhhh

Thanks! Tigerram had very good fundamentals I just had to get him to loosen up a bit and open up his 3 betting range. He really was just about there I just have to give him that extra push and had to get him to think a little more outside the box. It would be great to cross paths live and if we do come up say hi maybe even go grab a drink. Good luck at the tables!

We havent played together for sometime but I always though your greatest strength was your fearlessness and aggressiveness. One particular weakness was that I think you might take things to personal. This is my biggest downfall as well. I remember one night we were playing the weekly 100r 6max on tilt and I opened 4 or 5 times in a row all 4 or 5 times you 3 bet me and all 4 or 5 times I 4bet shoved or 4 bet and you folded every time Obviously the first two times I had air and the last 2 or 3 times I had hands but I just felt like I got under your skin. I still think your a sicko tho and I think you will crush for a while.
No idea really. I am just going to wait things out and see what happens. I still plan on going to the WSOP and maybe playing more live poker. I wish I had more answers just like everyone else but I have no idea. -

No idea. Gonna wait it out for now and see what happens. I will play more live poker in the next couple months
I'm still alive and enjoying my vacation in Aruba with my wife as I write this. Up next Florida 10k wpt event. Time to turn into a live pro
Online poker is gone but you can still play live and that's what I will ddo for the next couple months. Sundays I will play some golf and try not to worry too much about poker. I think this is only a temporary situation and online poker will be back hopefully sooner rather than laterOriginally Posted by YoungVic

No question really, just thank you for doing this well its been by far the best of any previous wells, +1 for it being in the strategy archives.
Also thank you for answering all questions seriously, Jymasters well had some potential but turned into sarcastic questions and responses throughout, i guess people trying to fit in and look 'cool'.
Anyway, GL in future, i hope it all gets sorted out over there so you can continue playing the game tht has got you this far! -

I just read through the entire well and think it's awesome. I always thought you were one of the best online grinders out there and I highly respect your game. It's always fun running into you at Foxwoods during the megastacks/fpcs/wpfs etc etc.
I saw in a previous response that you plan on (unsurprisingly) playing much more live in the upcoming months since the online poker meltdown. Imagine this situation: Say it's April 2012, and it still seems highly unlikely that online poker will be licensed/regulated anytime soon. Do you see yourself still playing live full time, moving elsewhere to play online, or do you think you'll pursue another career? -
Hello P0KERPR033, I am new to online poker and I have a question to you about manging bankroll. My friend showed me an article by Chris Ferguson about manging the bankroll and how he turned $0 into over $10,000, so I used his rules as my guideline when I started playing online last week.
It seemed to be working well for me, but what do you think of his bankroll plan? I had to do some moving up and down in the buy-in levels, which was a bit frustrating to lose at a higher level and move back down and start winning, but with less to show.
What are your principles of bankroll management? -

Thanks! I have always enjoyed are dinners at foxwoods and I assume we will be having alot more with no online poker in the immediate future. You are one player who I never want to see at my table down at foxwoods because you really do a great job of putting pressure on the other players at the table.
Thats a great question. I will never move to another country to play online poker and I don't think I am cut out to be a live pro but Im sure some success can change that. I just get tired of traveling relatively quickly and I really enjoy the company of my wife, family, and friends. I plan on starting a family within the next couple years and that will make traveling even more difficult. If I don't have a great deal of success live and there is no online poker in the immediate future I will definately be pursueing another career.
Im not familar with Chris Ferguson's article on bankroll management so I cant help you out there. But as far as bankroll managment is concerned I think you should never risk more than 3% of your bankroll at one time. If you take shots and miss I think you need to lower the stakes and grind it back up this can be frustrating at times but is all a part of the process of never going broke. I hope this helps and if you wanted to post Chris Fergusons article I could let you know what I think about his guidelines although Im sure it will be pretty good since Chris is a very smart guy.Originally Posted by wickedfamous

Thanks for your reply. At this point I'm trying to figure out a live bankroll plan, since I blew all my winnings last year partying, didn't expect to need a bankroll fit for live play. And I can't find a poker site with any kind of traffic yet. The Full Tilt article and video now gives an error 404, but I did find it on Ferguson's website here http://www.chrisferguson.com/article-4

great well jcamby i remember being deep in an 11R and thinking who is this Ahole that keeps 3betting me.
a) how important do you think it is to trust your reads and 4bet Jam bluff. 5bet jam bluff etc.
b) what things do you think takes a low-mid grinder to the next level.
GL in future and with wsop mate. -

Thanks for the idea. Time isn't an issue now so I really just need to get back into the gym and stop being so lazy.
Thanks mate! I play so much off feel so trusting your reads are huge. Sometimes before I even open I know a certain player is going to 3 bet me so you just gotta trust your gut and trust your reads hopefully you are right.Originally Posted by roflshove

The biggest thing in making the jump from low to midstakes is that first big score will give you some confidence and from there you just need to constantly try and improve. Don't get content and become lazy. Just absorb yourself in the game. Thx gl to you as well so excited for the wsop!
