What do you think the minimum amount of volume is that someone can play, and expect to become a good player with a few big scores, thank you.

Your favorite MTT's on the net?
stars or Tilt?
18mans or 45mans?
Whats your top 3 favorite hands other than AA KK QQ etc.
Whats the best qualifiers in the world to the WSOP?
How often are you flatting 3bets if you getting really good odds regardless of your holdings?
Wish you all the best. -

Im having trouble at first with it covering up hole cards and/or other buttons i would normally use, how much to depend on it with few hands being actually analyzed etc etc maybe im just old and out of touch, but would you say its not for everybody? or just study it more and figure it out more
i can talk to you more in detail in private but really you just gotta use it and get used to it... the more practice w/ it the better. you also have to understand what the #'s really mean, like what %'s are high what are low and so forth. but the more you use it and get used to it the more you'll understand how to apply it. it certainly isn't for everyone but i can't imagine anyone being serious about mtt's and not using it.

Anyways some serious questions, I'll never ever be a professional mtt grinder like yourself, however when did you know you had "it" so that you can do this for a living? Everyone started from a few hundred and only a select few made a living off of that initial amount to amounts unknown, how did you do it? If you had to start over from scratch today, what site would you be playing on the most and why?
you can click the "dangerzone" undertitle on my name and see it anytime you want :)
i never had one day where i just knew i was good or something, in fact i still have days i doubt my strategy is always the best way to play. most of the time i'm happy with where i'm at, but you're just not going to be a perfect poker player day in day out. so i'd say i realized i was pretty good just when i finally started to win $ consistently at tournaments over a long period (so probably within the past 2 years i've "gotten it")
i started with very little and played on my own for years in small stakes (a big buyin for me was $50, avg prob $5 to $20), and the first big score i had was back in the winter of 2005, when i won the early stars $11+rebuys for like, $7k or something. that gave my bankroll the boost i THOUGHT i needed to around $10k total (i really needed like 5x that amount to quit college and do this professionally, but what did i know!).
if i had to start from scratch and only grind low stakes with a very proper BR management mentality i'd prob just play where i'm playing now, all the regular sites, just sticking to the low stakes. there's nothing magical about non-stars/FTP sites. i mean, steer clear of UB/AP/victory poker, and you can't go wrong.

you can read my previous reply to defndrofangels and my "turning point" was probably one of two things, winning the $11rebuy in early 2005, or in early 2007 when i took 2nd in a $1500 at commerce. i mean, i feel like last summer was a HUGE turning point too but it's all steps towards my master goal of taking over the world--i mean, winning bracelets and getting money and big tittied bitches. i don't really smoke much anymore, and i'm trying to completely quit smoking while playing. not sure why i got into that habit other than it's easy and fun to smoke, and it's not like i have a boss telling me to quit smoking. either way i feel way healthier without herb in my lungs all the damn time.

there's no magical answer. you've gotta put in the time. even when you win, you still might not be a "winning" player, you're just up and you might still have way too many leaks to maintain your winning ways for much longer.

1. fav MTT is probably the full tilt $100cubed because i'm pretty sure i've won that more than any other tournament online. also really like anything 6max.
2. either or, i don't really have a preference, wherever i'm winning i guess.
3. don't play sit and goes, sorry
4. my favorite hand is 47 of clubs, mainly thanks to my semi-bad defense w/ this hand 3handed in the BB v the french guy SB at my WSOP FT this summer. he was like, 35bb deep n was pretty bad postflop. it came 56c9x and we got it allin vs his 86o. turn... 8c! i also have a bit of a hardon for 99, as i must've flopped 4,000,000 sets w/ it.
5. i've actually NEVER won a WSOP seat, lol. i've won PCA seats twice, 3 WPT seats, at least one NAPT seat (maybe 2 i can't remember)... but i rarely play these qualifiers because they usually run on sundays and i'd rather not waste screen space. so yeah. best way to qualify for me is to get my backer to hand me a stack of $100s and go buyin.
6. there's no way i can answer this question w/o seeing a HH lol
anything where the blinds are at least 5 figures, cuz then i'm probably close getting a steak dinner, a bunch of beer, and celebrating winning something big lol.

This hand was from the 100r 6-max ME this past FTOPS. I and several others who saw this were left scratching our heads. From one nit to another, I'd be really interested in hearing your thought process from this hand. If you don't remember, that's obv understandable...and I'm not posting this to bitch, we all take beats, shit happens, etc. Just seemed really weird and uncharacteristic from you.

Where do you live in Vegas? Buy a house or renting a condo? If renting, what's your rent and quality of the pad? How does the cost of living compare out there to elsewhere in the US you've lived? Have roomates? Do you like being able to jump up and drive a short distance to some good live cash action/play any tourney series in LA/vegas you want all year and do you take advantage of it?

i live right off strip near the south point casino. renting a house. rent is reasonable, nothing outrageous. it's a good house nothing exceptional. i only lived in missouri and i don't count that cuz i was in a college town in the middle of nowhere and i barely lived in LA for 8 weeks, and LA was obv ridic. one roommate. rarely drive to LA, and i play online mostly so the convenience of vegas is mainly for local tournaments/WSOP.
