Need help for a chip chop!!

    Hey guys, at a $44 turbo final table, 3 handed looking for some help on what i should be getting for a chip chop.

    I'm no good wth math etc.

    The reason you got no one to help you was because you provided no information. No one is going to go to your table to help you. You have to give us a little info to work with. Next time say the number of runners, total prizepool, what 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places get, the chip stacks, and stuff.

    A. pay all the players the 3rd place money.
    B. take the excess money from 1st & 2nd and add it together.
    C. add the chip stacks of all remaining players.
    Example: 44000 + 55000 + 65000 = 164000
    D. Multiply each players fractional share of the total chips time the amount from B. above (excess money).
    Example
    (44/164)*(B.) + 3rd place money= chip chop share player 1
    (55/164)*(B.) + 3rd place money = chip chop share player 2
    (65/164)*(B.) + 3rd place money= chip chop share player 3

    Thanks Bluedog i will remember for next time.

    Ended up doing a 3 way chop leaving $450 to play for,

    chip leader 3059.28 2nd 2986.30 3rd 2627.02.

    Original payouts 1st 4014.30, 2nd 2941.74 3rd 2166.48

    The more i think about it im not sure if this was the best chop (not because i got first, but i felt i had a edge on the 2 players). Any thoughts?

    I was in 2nd at the time, ended up winning after the chop for $3436.30

    You guar'ed yourself more than 2nd place money (while not in the chip lead) leaving something to play for if you won it. I think IF you were going to chop, you did well by it. Just my opinion though, and congrats!
