  1. Just daydreaming that FTP paid me back and i had some money to burn.

If online poker is legalized which publicly traded companies do you think will benefit the most?

  2. I think quite a lot of them, and not necessarily the ones everyone will name up front. I mean I think I think MGM is an obvious one. But I think there are quite a number of companies that are more "tech" companies that could do very well. For example, who will be the ones making the poker game software that many of the future companies will use? Who will handle game security? Which companies will be handling payment processing? A lot of this stuff may be commoditized, which means that there could be some big winners that aren't strictly gaming companies.

I think you may find some smaller public winners out there, such as owners of major local casinos. But MGM is clearly the primary public beneficiary in the gaming realm, imo.

  3. - whoever certifies the RNG
    - consulting companies

  4. Good analysis, Adam. Why do you state MGM is the clear winner tho? Wouldn't the Caesars/WSOP brand be top dog? Are we talking strictly online poker or online gaming in general?

  5. Caesars isn't a public company, and OP was looking for places he could buy stock. I definitely think Caesars will be a very big winner in a post-regulatory environment

  6. PYGMF.PK

    IGT

    SHFL
  7. PYGMF best bet all day. I remember back in 06 when it dropped all the way to like .59 cents share usd. Still cheap at 2.50 and party poker is already a legit and established online poker room.

Just a brag In the heat of the recession I got shares of LVS (Las vegas sands who own the venetian) at $1.80 a share. Today 49 a share BOOM!

MGM is still a decent stock nowadays at about 13 bucks a share seeing that at the top of its game its well worth over 50 bucks a share.
  8. Online poker is legal... Well in the free world anyway.
  9. Ladbrokes recently brought a majority share in US company Stadium Technology which supplies software to casino's in vegas : http://uk.pokernews.com/news/2012/01...vider-7883.htm

Ladbrokes is a publicliy traded company on the London Stock Exchange, might be worth speculating on some shares from them with a view to regulation in the US?

  13. legal facebook + zynga poker would be the nuts
  14. All my investment money is tied up in a small oil exploration company at the moment but if they make a big strike, i plan to sell some and buy some MGM(MGM) and bwin/party (BPTY.L). I think these 2 companies already have some sort of deal in place for when legalisation happens but its likely they will become the dominating force in online poker post legalisation particularly if they'll be accepting international players - i think that will be very important for the success of the new site as well as great for the game. We could get back to real online poker growth then and 500k+ players online, that would be awesome for tourney guarantees!
