A few days ago I had posted in the site transfer thread asking to trade $300 on stars for $275 on party. I received multiple PMs but had already traded it by then with someone in my skype poker group. Today I needed to trade another $55 on Stars for $50 Party. I contacted one of the guys who PM'd me earlier who was very eager to trade. Like an idiot I did not bother researching him. Prior to the trade he was constantly messaging me on Stars always asking me if I was ready to trade yet, but like the gullible person I am I thought nothing of it. Fast forward to the moments before the trade I grew very wary after looking at his profile and seeing he had no posts and joined the day I posted in the transfer thread. I decided to trade in 5 increments of $11 for $10 in case he was a scammer.

Why would you trade with someone with 0 posts and over skype and send first? I feel sorry for you, but this has been gone over a zillion times of what exactly not to do in the transfer thread.

Also a simple google search would have shown that this guy was banned from 2+2. This scam could have been very much avoided if the tips were followed in what not to do when trading. It seems you through common sense out the window when trading.

He was already banned since someone else reported a shady skype convo, if someone asks to trade over skype, has 0 posts, and claims things they can't by following the rules of the forum (they are supposed to post in the thread with their poker site names before PMing you), you will almost always get scammed.
