Hello.... I attempted to trade with mus123. He sent me a PM early Monday morning requesting to do a trade of $75 in $25 increments. My Lock for his Hero.

I send the 25 within an hour and finally got back a hold of him serveral hours later and he ask for the remaining. I reminded him of our arrangement and told him that if he wanted to send 50 I'd send 50 and then he'd owe me 25. He sent the following message:

The requested player transfer to daNiZZeLs from your account has been APPROVED. Please note that you will need to wait 4 days before you are able to withdraw the transferred amount.

Since a transaction ID was provided I sent an additional 25 so we were at least 'even' I still have NOT received the 50 in my account and now his PM are turned off.
I'm new to trading so I'm not sure how long this process should take. I would be careful making any trades in the future with this person. the email he gave me for lock was: es_krooked@yahoo.com.
I email HP support to validate the email he gave and is posted above and still have not heard. Back if the 50 shows up in my account I will be the first to say that I jumped to conclusions but at this time it doesn't look like it.

General Question to everyone: (If this is not in the right place I apologize)

If someone is trying to scam you will then copy a fake email and PM it too you to make it 'look' like a transfer was made. Something like this:

Dear XXXXX,

The requested player transfer to daNiZZeLs from your account has been APPROVED. Please note that you will need to wait 4 days before you are able to withdraw the transferred amount.

MUS123 is a SCAMMER. Fallen408 on carbon, merge is his hold.

What he did to me was agree to do a paypal trade for carbon funds. Yes he has no history, but I told him he MUST send first, which he did and on PayPal it said "completed transaction". I sent him his $95, which he shipped me on paypal and watched him play NL HU, small stakes.

He lost all his funds, then went on Paypal and is now telling them he did not authorize the transaction, and is disputing the charges. Paypal removed the $95 from my account, so this guy somehow reversed a "completed" transaction.

I email him, he replies with "you sent it to the wrong screename, send it again". He must think im really stupid, I have the history, I watched him play and lose the exact amount I sent him and he was on my "friends list" on carbon. This is frickin bs, and he is a pos. Scammer, dont anyone send him any $ ever. Dont do it paypal ever either, I had no idea once it was completed that he could say it never happened. SO SICK. POS.

Yea... I looked all the names up on sharkscope (yes I know it's just tourneys) and none off them were found except for one (the temple one) and that one was down heaps.

To remind potential traders of some helpful hints. To people that have seen warning in the past, most of this is redundant, however, some tips for other people to live by. I will be bumping this post periodically over the next couple of weeks since the scammers are out. You will most likely get scammed if you don't follow all of the below, and unfortunately not only out money and some headache, you are also encouraging the scammers to come here.

1) Do not trade via paypal, first its against the rules of this thread. Second, the transactions can be easily reversed, especially since gaming transactions are not allowed via paypal. Third, paypal can shut down your account temporarily or perm.

2) Do not send first to people with low post counts, recent sign-up dates, and no reported trades in this thread. Do not listen to people when they say I am so and so on twoplustwo as its a lie 99% of the time if they have low post counts here. Do not just accept a copied and pasted email from someone that a transaction has gone through as these are 99% fake.

3) Make the person you are trading with post in the thread with their screennames. If they are not doing this, both you and them are violating the rules of the thread and instead the PMs should be reported.

I had no idea about the paypal thing. Once it said $95 completed transaction from MUS123, I didnt know it was so easy for him to just "reverse" the transactions. Thats bs. I am fighting him ripping me off with paypal, we'll see how it goes. If it never said completed transaction and money in my paypal account I would have never sent.
