what is considered a good roi?? 70 percent?? higher?
-
don't obsess over your roi, just work on your game and go from there. also, you most likely don't have enough of a sample size to actually know your roi

It takes like 10k games do get close to you're true roi and by that time your game has gotten better, moved up in stakes,...
It's cool if it's high but it's not really super indicitive of skill level. -
It takes 10k games to get a statistically significant roi you mean and even then it's not that significant because there are too many variables constantly changing.

BBs don't matter in turbos.

Can you explain how you came to this conclusion? Show me the math. I've heard this number before but does anyone know why or how this is an accurate ROI number?
-
10k games is just a pretty, even number, and by then everyone gets the same hands/luck. The more sample size, the more accurate it will be as sample size approaches infinity.
-
even if you made 50$/game on 20k mtts, if you have to hold for the chiplead of the sunday millie when 12 left, just one card can change like 25% of you ROI for all of those 20k games!
variance of big field mtts is insane. even on like 50k games i think we def wouldn't all have the same amount of luck. -
ROI is very important...Agreed you need a solid 8k plus sample size..IMO ROI is more important for STT players...Any realistic STT medium stakes players should be playing at least 15+ tables at once and showing 7-8%...When stars was still available I was able to show roughly that playing fifty50s playing 25-40 at once...Id recommend playing double or nothings or fifty50s for mass multi tabling purposes because your never really short handed and can maximize even a mediocre ROI...As far as higher limit STTs go its very difficult to show a decent ROI but a 1-2% ROI in a 200$ tourny isnt the worst thing in the world...Wasnt sure if you were referring to MTTs or STTs

The amount of games needed to find a true roi is totally dependent on the field sizes played. With that said, I doubt anyone has done any math to come up with these figures but they are based on experience.
