Moved me into chiplead of the 129 remaining in the tournament.

Edit: I don't mean that the pot was huge or there was a huge chip risk in playing that hand. But putting 5k of my stack into an underpair etc

  2. cool story bro.
  3. If you are playing an unknown & calling with an under pair; you are playing bad and just get lucky. It happens all the time. Then you brag about it, but it's long term losing strategy. Bad thought process!
  4. The player wasn't completely unknown i saw him play a few hands very poorly with his raising of 89suited on a AKK flop and doubling up a shortstack who had QK at the time. Again a few hands later with 36 on a 78J board doubled up the same shortstack with TJ.

I dont think im playing bad (maybe a little luck on my side) but im still chiplead with 48 remaining. Been making some pretty good calls to get this far, the above was one of quite a few good calls since the start including making a few calls with players with Overcards on low flops with pocket 8's/9's and making a laydown with Queens on a low flop to see the guy after me throw up Aces and i said to my wife at the time "I'm ahead of him, but the guy behind me has a monster im not playing with lol"

  5. gl Mike, take er down!
  6. 24 left still chiplead but at that stupid point where the shorter stacks (well anyone with less than 60k) wants to go allin on the flop and its driving me mad, lost a big pot when I had QK on a T2K board, turn came as a T when they pushed, i made the call they showed Q9 and rivered a flush :S Still got 155k chips though

  7. mini update - final 18 and i have a 100k chiplead over the guy in second xD

I agree this guy seems to be bragging every time he wins something lol I chopped a 2 $ turbo tourney with a 3k+ field 2 weeks ago for 860 $ and I dont feel the need to make a thread about it. The only time i will make a thread is when i get 100k+ win
  20. I can appreciate all those posts saying its a stupid brag and that's fair enough. It began with a good I made to take a chiplead, usually it would just be a solid hand like trips or a straight to do that not an underpair which I thought was just pretty cool. I didn't really expect to hold the chiplead for so long.

After that I was just quite impressed with how I played which considering I've been changing the entire way I play the game was quite impressive to me. I accept $500 isn't a huge score for many people on the site but I've been stuck on the micro stakes with next to no bankroll so to ship a tourny with my last $5 is a nice achievement for me.

I was also quite pleased its the first ship that gets to appear on my p5 portfolio since the other one was in a .55c tourny so didn't meet the criteria of the site. As well as that I was rebuilding my game with a main focus on the p5 training video's which I just got access to these past few days.

I am thankful for the congrats people have offered and i'll hold out before posting another "brag" maybe my first 4/5figure score or somet. I would ask people to maybe me a little more tolerant though, we can't all be high stakes players and even winning a micro minefield is an achievement!

let him carry on, hes excited and he isnt hurting anybody ffs, ps if you dont feel the need to brag why mention your win, nice hidden brag man. well done mikey way to go .
  24. Nothing wrong with the brag here. I dont know how long you have been playing OP but congrats. I like the rest do not agree with the call you made but build from your tourney experience and do it again. Also winning on stars imo is good bc the fields are stupid huge.
  25. Congrats Bro, keep it up!
  26. Where are the dragons?
