Hey Ben - I'm going to ask my contact there, because I'm not sure. I would also recommend you email support and ask if you have an account there for poker or need to sign one up.

I already signed up to 888 via P5s so i'm probably not eligable for this promo...

BUT if you're actually giving feedback to 888 then I'm gunna tell you what I think in the hope they'll make a few tweaks.

Overall I really like their software, it runs smoothly and the tourny lobbies update pretty fast - unlike some sites, *cough party cough*. If you sign up in advance to a game the window does actually appear when the game starts - again like some other sites...
The layout is good and it's easy to use too and I like my silly avatar. I also like the FT graphics and the chest of cash that displays when you get to heads up - that made me laugh the first time.
Despite the support being slow as hell they do resolve your issues and they do reply.

Improvements:
I think it'd be better if the main lobby had more filters - I want to be able to see the games in the range I like playing without having to wade through dozens of $0.99 games.
I'd like more 15 min blind games - quite a lot of 888 has 10-12 minute blinds.
I'd like there to be a bigger diffference between the black and the blue on my 4 colour deck.
It'd be useful if the, 'it's your go' sound was a bit more intrusive - like stars, you're not gunna miss hearing that one!
I wish the timebank came up as an option to click as soon as it's your go- as it is you only get about a 5 second window to click it - easy to miss sometimes and a bit annoying.
When the game window opens the lobby closes - I'd prefer it to stay open.
When you open a game lobby window the main lobby closes - again I prefer it to stay open.
And finally - I don't like the way the window snatches focus when it's your go - I could be typing in another window and then suddenly I'm typing in the chat of that window - really annoying.

Thanks for the feedback - this is useful. We know 888 is a massive public company, but not everyone who signs up there does. It is definitely helpful for them to know that their message may not seem 100% comfortable to new users.

yea i think that its pretty important that the site looks more legit. because even though ive heard of the site, through tv advertisements etc. it still felt a bit untrustworthy, and with some peoples perceived views on poker having a site that gives off this image when your putting your bank details in isnt good.

im now half way through my first real money session and i can say that the software itself is good. its slightly slow when deciding who has won the pot etc. but thats nothing really, and doesnt bother me anyway. first bad thing ive found is there arent many filters on the main page when looking for tourneys. i cant filter out tourneys that are way above my buyin level which is annoying scrolling through tourneys that look good and then realising its a 25$ buyin which doesnt fit my bankroll.

2nd thing i found was that there werent any preset bet amounts like on pokerstars (or at least i couldnt find them) this is a problem because if i was multitabling i would have to type in each bet amount myself which is time consuming and gives me less decision making time which is key to me being able to play my best game.

Thirdly. Having tournaments to win a black knitted beanie is ridiculous. If youre trying to compete with Pstars and the other big companies, offering people the chance to play a full tourney to win a beanie doesnt give off a good image. to me it makes the company feel very small and a bit 'scruffy'. scruffy might not be the correct term but i cant think of a better word suited to it.

there arent enough 1$ 2$ and 3$ primetime tourneys that start close together so i can sit there and grind for a few hours. a problem with this is they wont get the same customer loyalty as pokerstars because you have to look away from the 888poker site in order to find a game. if they had all the games then people would ONLY play there which would increase the amount of people playing on the site. this is the reason ive always played on pokerstars... they have everything you need right there, and dont have to go looking elsewhere for a game.

Bigger guarantee tourneys and more of them. obviously you can only make guarantees so high that theres enough people entering to make a profit but if they are too low then people arent interested. a lot of people deposit because they dream of a quick big score. they are a lot of your target market.

things i liked are the table layouts. they have a nice feel and are chunky so its hard to misclick.

another thing i liked was the preferred seat option u can set it so every table you sit at you start in the same seat. i like a bit of familiarity when i play, this is just a personal preference.

finally, i like the notes section with the player notes presets and the icons like shark etc. however you should be able to make your own too.

Just wondering if im eligible for the training because ive deposited money, played a tourney and will continue to do so whilst i have a roll on the website. Ive also gave my feedback on the site.. Is there anything i havent done to get the p5s training that i need to do?

You guys keep one-upping me on the p5's training promos.

When I signed up for 888 about a month ago it was 1 month free.
Before I was verified it was 2 months free, and p5's obliged no problem.
Now you pull the 6 months free out.
Can I still get this?

I have no problems with the site apart from the annoying pop-ups and adware.
Also, I can't resize the lobby, which is annoying because it doesn't fit on my laptop screen.

Sorry to say this particular offer is only for new 888 members signing up specifically for this promotion. Sometimes we have special promos, and there will be more of them for sure including on other poker sites. So you should have more opportunities soon :)

ok so after having some issues with being able to deposit with my canadian bank card i went ahead and setup a entropay account so i could depo and get the free training. the support chat was very helpful in letting me know my options and answering all my questions.
as far as things i like and dont like about the site:
the good-lotta cash game action and obv all euro players which is also a good thing. the lobby is pretty easy to navigate. mtt's look like they have good structures from what i can tell.
the bad- not a ton of mtt's to choose from and no actual rakeback just the bonuses and points they give ya. some of the animations could be a bit smoother and faster. my main issue is the lack of low and mid buyin mtt's tho other than that it seems like a solid well run site.
lemme know if ya need any other info for me to get the 6 months training, pretty sure ya already have my username.
