as far as things i like and dont like about the site:
the good-lotta cash game action and obv all euro players which is also a good thing. the lobby is pretty easy to navigate. mtt's look like they have good structures from what i can tell.
the bad- not a ton of mtt's to choose from and no actual rakeback just the bonuses and points they give ya. some of the animations could be a bit smoother and faster. my main issue is the lack of low and mid buyin mtt's tho other than that it seems like a solid well run site.
lemme know if ya need any other info for me to get the 6 months training, pretty sure ya already have my username.
thanks again for running such a great promo with heaps of value.
Thank you, looking forward to reading it -
I signed up a couple of days ago (CollinCapone) and here’s my thoughts.
Depositing: I clicked the cashier button and looked for an ECHECK option. I didn’t see the option but saw something called Citadel Instant Banking so clicked it. Once I did that it asked me to download and install a program. I thought this was kind of weird and then suddenly a chat window opens up and a customer support rep starts talking to me. She says “I noticed you in the cashier so let’s get you set up and get you a bonus” She then said I was trying to use an “alternate deposit method” and gave me a link to a “more secure one” I would hope any method they list is safe and secure. I did end up making a deposit but it took some time as I am a nit and read all the terms and conditions first. By this time the Chat rep left because I hadn’t responded for 3 minutes so I didn’t get any bonus. I found the depositing kind of greasy, pushy and didn’t really that safe. While this chat tactic might be a good thing to encourage people to deposit personally I don’t like it.
Lobby: Simple and pretty straight forward. I found the games easy to navigate and was able to bring up the mtts I was interested in. I play during off peak times so not many were running but I could tell it was easy to search and did find a couple to try out.
Game play: Found the avatars annoying and the game play seemed very old school and dated. I really disliked it. I didn’t spend a ton of time in the settings since I wanted to try out the standard settings. So if there is better options maybe those should be the standard? Also one thing happened that seemed weird to me. While in a rebuy tournament I busted so hit rebuy (didn’t see an auto rebuy button) and then it said processing. It then dealt another hand with me showing $0 then the next hand said approved and I was back in. I found it odd that it didn’t wait to process first and made me miss a hand. Also not sure why it had to process since I had money in my account.
Overall It seems like an easy to navigate site but the lack of games during my playing period combined by the unsafe feel I got and dated software would make me not likely to play there unless it was for something that was not available on pokerstars.
*Also want to disclose that I did open an account there some years ago "AllinCollin" and played a handful of games when I was just starting out a couple few years ago. I hadn't been there quite some time truly did not remember what the site was like. I think I might have deposited $100 and donated it on a cash game back in the day. I asked support if I could close the account and reopen a new one and they allowed me to do so. If this makes me inelligible for this promo that's fine.
Thanks. -

Best,

I have just registered to 888 Poker via your link and deposited 400 bucks. Will play a session later today and then write a short review. Thanks for the great offer!
-
they should get MTT filters. being able to easily see what and how you play/register for. synch breaks?
-
damn yeah! just discovered that! :) <3 <3 <3 -
just cant believe there are no filters in the mtt lobby, anyone can confirm?
-
I am playing there right now. There is a filter in the MTT lobby, but much less detailed than on stars. More later...

but you cant ask for which stakes you want to filter on right?..... If not, must have feature asap

Just finished my session on 888. Played some SnGs, 2 MTTs and a bit of their "Push or Fold" Cashgame Format.
Good:
- When I tried to deposit $200, support showed up and offered me to deposit double ($400) and therefore get an insta bonus of $10. I know they just want you to put as much money on their site as possible. But still, an insta bonus without any obligations is very nice.
- MTTs/SNGs: At the top of the table it is shown, in which exact time (minutes and seconds) the next blind level will start. Very useful feature.
- there are synchro breaks
Not so Good:
- I lost $50
- There should be more time to act! The clock for making your move only seems to be 5sec and after these 5 sec you have timed out (on stars then your tournament timebank automatically starts, which means that you don't time-out so easily). I actually timed-out twice because of being busy at another table which sucks.
Some more remarks:
Pokertracker didn't work at the beginning, because I had installed the 888 software in German. For Pokertracker to work, 888 has to be installed in English.
The MTT filter is indeed much less detailed than on Stars. You can filter: 1) Running and Completed tourneys 2) Game: Holdem, Omaha, Stud 3) Limit: NL/PL, FL
However, I think this is sufficient. 888 is a small site and the number of tournaments is not so high, so it is still easy to navigate.
As usual on smaller sites, SNGs tend to fill up rather slowly. But Double or Nothing Turbos seem to fill up quickly.
It's fun to play that "Push or Fold" Cashgame format, which I've never seen before (dont usually play cash tough). You have to buyin for 5BB, so it's more like a turbo SNG with high blinds. Often, you'll soon be sitting there with 10-15BB. Dont know if that can be played profitably or if the rake is just killing it. -
so far it seems good ! the software seems fast (only time will show if its reliable). played 1 tourny whice seemed 2 hav a good mix of player types and countries represented. i checked out the tutorial videos and really like the idea of create ure own lounge with player cams that cud prove interesting. ill check back once ive played sum more 2 early to say like/dislike yet !!

Yes, exactly. Must be a new 888 account -
Registered via link and deposited. I am MTT player so i'll refer to MTT lobby.
1. Lobby font - I don't like it. I'd prefer bold or change it at all to modern one.
2. Background - gray stripes are there bqz font is bad. Making a bit bigger font and bigger speces between lines will allow You to put plain background so lobby will be usereye friendly.
3. Type column - "G" sign is not necessery since in mtt description u have info $$$ are guaranteeed. Other are ok.
4. Playing tables - I like graphics - a lot better than in lobby.
5. Betting patterns are ok, but as a mmt player i'd like to see possiblity to make 2.2xPSBet, 3.2xPSBet etc.
More feedback later since i am getting familiar with the site. -
Just done, p5mclarke
Same as the wsop.com so can do my review during play lol.
The interface isn't as nice as most sites. The tournament lobbies are very slow to update, although the quickseat function for cash tables is very nice.
The filter system is not the best on the market but does the job ok. If you are playing on cash tables then the reward system is very quick to move up for the early stages but the rewards for it seem fairly poor. Not really comparible to other sites (although they are easy to attain so can't expect to much).
Theres an option to disable the casino button from appearing which is always a plus for those of us that get a decent roll then enter the casino which takes skill out of the equation lol.
Theres plenty of low stakes tournaments running which is a positive despite the v.low gtd's on them. Theres a couple of high stakes throughout the day but again not really great field sizes to make a good profit with for the work it takes.
Whilst at the table the info box is slightly spread out which means I need to scroll to see the information I would like rather than having it grouped up its basically a 2 column table which is frustrating. Gameplay wise, the player skill range varies but cash tables are fairly weak compared to stars. The sound/animations are fairly annoying but able to overcome them.
Will probably add more to my review at some point these are initial things of note. -
Great info, thanks for posting! Please make sure to email P5s support with your 888 name so we can verify your account and get you your training membership.

hey adam, i just deposited and i'm currently playing some nl10 just to get started. first off all i got to say that i really liked the depositing client since theres a big variety of depositing possibilities. tahts a plus for me since im not too familiar with moneybookers, neteller and so on. when getting started with the site i think the beginner tab is great where you can easily jump into play even though you play on this site for the very first time. things i dont like too much so far are the look of the tables since i fell that the different colored buttons and so on are kinda distracting. but i'm pretty sure you can change that somewhere (?). furthermore i think i have to play some more at first to get a feel for the site. feel free to PM me and i'll give you a more detailed statement. thanks for the promotion by the way, thats great. would appreciate it if you PM me so i can make sure im eligible for the hoodie and the training!
