Well, since we're outing scumbags, I have 2 crooks to mention and warn you all about.

They're equally as bad, but I'll mention Zach Roeder first, as I've never made a thread about him before.

Looks like he's fallen on hard times of late. Likely trying to grind out 1/2 NL games in Vegas for a living.

He used to play $3 SNGs and I knew him through a poker IRC channel. He begged me for a stake, and I (foolishly, I suppose) gave him a stake for small-mid stakes tournaments and decided to teach him how to play. The way he thanked me for that is by stealing over $3,000 from me, including $200 that I lent him for RENT (he claims he paid this back but he's lying).

He told me that he'd be leaving for another backer while he was in makeup. I said that's fine as long as you pay me back the makeup. I asked who the backer was and he wouldn't tell me. This set off alarm bells for certain, but there wasn't really much I could do. After quite a while (and after not paying me back a cent) he asked to come back and play for me. I wasn't going let this deadbeat steal any more money and the trust was obviously eroded, so I declined. He still hasn't paid me back a cent and doesn't plan to.

The other deadbeat I made a post about on 2p2 about 2 years back and his name is Derek Denholm. He lives in my town but is moving to Vancouver (seems to be where a lot of people who owe money move, if you know what I mean!)

He was 18 when I staked him and I knew him from MTG (I'm proud I'm a dork so save the jokes!) I staked him for small and some mid stakes tournaments tried to teach him how to play, and he was playing high volume so he had over $2,000 of my money in his account. He won a 3r under me and was clearly disturbed that he had to send half the money, even though that was our (typical) staking agreement One day, I OPR'ed him and found out he'd been playing $215s on full tilt! Since this couldn't have been with his own money (he had none and worked at Future Shop), I asked him to send back the money in the account immediately. He disappeared completely online. He used to be on MSN and IRC 24/7 and he was gone. A familiar story to those of you who have had money stolen from you. I waited a few weeks, and decided to contact his parents, Paul and Michelle Denholm. Well, they were no help. The father at no point even talked to me and the mother just said she had to "call a family friend". They enlisted a family friend to meet with me where he simply tried to dig up information on me. I explained the situation to him and he said he was sympathetic to my cause and insinuated that they would pay me back but I got a message on my phone a few days later from him saying that they wouldn't be paying me. It's very difficult to convey to people outside of poker what the poker world and staking are all about, as many of you will know. (I didn't expect them to pay me, I expected them to make him pay me).

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and I have been told that Derek Denholm is now going around at parties saying that I "take advantage of young people". I was doing him the biggest favour of his life, deep down he knows it, and that's how I'm being treated. I know from a VERY good source that he's into some very bad things now, that I won't mention until I have 100% proof. Congrats, Derek!

Derek has also been involved in some other very bad things.
He has a company called XFactor Servers which deals with some sort of gaming servers, and he's scammed all kinds of people on there too. Wonder if his parents know about that, or care.

So beware of these people, P5! These are the reasons I stopped backing. I don't want to see anyone else get scammed by them.

Whoever is agreeing with bustyou79 i urge not 2 get involved in this matter cause you do not know the whole story. Im not very good friends with Pete or Johnny but can surely tell u that the are among the most standup people i have ever met in my life or will ever meet again, i have done countless deals with them where they could of easily beat me or scammed me and there has never been a problem. 1 time i even bought pieces of John in live tournaments in Vegas, i believe it was the bellagio, and he lost in all the tournaments ,bought in on his own in 3 other tournies, final tabled the last 1 and gave me 25% of the winnings. Can u imagine that a player that gave me 25% of his winnings in a tourney that i had no piece in just cause he felt bad that he did not win me $$$ in the tournies i bought into him. Now that is a heart of gold and a stand up guy in my book. And as for Pete i was over his house a couple times and this joker bustyou was on the phone with him asking pete for help in big tourneys, 1 which pete helped him win 52k, and im sure other countless scores that bustyou owes 2 pete, i remember bustyou nicknaming pete mariano rivera cause he was his closer. As for bustyou i meet him 1 time in vegas and he is a vial human bieng and im sure anybody taking his back in this matter will surely regret it if they ever get the unfortunate exp. in meeting him. And just 1 side note money is or has never been a issue with pete or john so them just scamming a random person is completely insane. i dont know the whole story but i know there character and reputations and they would never just scam someone for no reason........

as far as im concerned u cannot judge somebody by reading a internet blog he or she wrote and u cannot believe anything u read and only half of what u see. I personally would not make a opinion off of what John said, there is obv. bad blood there and these 2 indv. do not like each other. What i got from reading John's blog is that bustyou is a snake. Never even called him up when i know he def. has his number instead went about it this way. Im pretty sure bustyou is afraid of john and pete, and 4 good reason, bustyou couldnt punch his way out of a wet paper bag with scissors in his hand. I've been friends with Joe aka Bustyou79 since we were 12 yrs old at West Jr High in Brockton. That means we have been friends for over 20 yrs. I am also a recreational online player who was backed and coached by Bustyou79 for the 6 months leading upto BF. 3-4 of those months pete and john were being backed by Bustyou too. So I watched Joe put $ in their accounts then I watched pete and john lose.. So you mean to tell me that while Pete and John were losing they were at the same time helping Joe win... That's so LOL... It's just a downright LIE!!! Joe has proven to me over two decades that he's a stand up true friend that can endure any storm life throws him and ultimatley prevail;... Pete and Johhny are drops in the bucket dude... I've seen Joe flip for more than 20k on multiple occassions!!!!! Expensive price to get these losers out of your life I know...5 striking facts ferry should look at; Johhny's defense is I did it so what, Pete pleads the 5th , no one else they know is saying anything, look at the stats that P5's provides us..... Bustyou is the real deal and these dudes aren't .. It's right there in black and white...also Bustyou was self taught !!! He didn't have to pay 5k+ to get a clue in online poker.. he figured it out himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
