also if cash games should i just search local poker charity rooms etc to start playing there?
also have 1 more question for the buy-in for cash games when do you guys prefer is legit? like 100 dollars or 200 dollars?
Thanks all.
also i watched all high stakes poker recently to learn more and watched big one for drop. i love poker and wanna get into it more. so any tips from you guys will be very accepted.
i wanna get better everyday, thanks. -
I like your thinkin winterfresh. Well, for one. Welcome to Pocketfives! Two, to answer your first question what are you better at making the most money at (per hour). Is it Cash? or MTTs? I suggests Mtts bc theres way more money on the line (Plus the Sunday Majors). Playing for long hours to me is fun and mentally tough, and I like that. Don't mix unless your extremely good at both. Stick with a plan, that is key to victory and money in your pocket.

Look up your neartest cardroom and start playing live events, they are fun.
And thirdly, about the money put on as much money as you feel comfortable playing with. don't over-do-it. Have a game plan like I said. Stick to good bankroll mangement and start working hard and money will flow soon enough. Thats good your watching poker keep watching and learning thats a good start to becoming a good player.
GL bro ship some tournys

1. Don't try to play poker if you only have only seen it on TV for any amount of money that matters because you'll lose it.
2. READ. Read. Then do a little bit more reading if you want to improve your game. Read strategy books - I bought off Amazon - and online forums.
3. Your enthusiasm is great.
4. Find a friend who already plays poker and chat to him/her. -

yeah and to answer about your local poker room they should have a touranment everyday running. My local cardroom has some good ones running anywhere from 45 bucks to 500 on the weekends. Its good shit. but live is alot different then online so be careful on not to give away tells and dont touch your face.. thats a big no no! -
kk yeah sounds good i will do that thanks for info...
yeah idk i always played cash games like 12 times total i mean its ok but i really dont like it much, i always wanted to do like a tourney but just never like knew much about it.
ok cool thx
oh yeah last question how long does it usually run for the mtt? and around how many players? -
It all depends on the day and time it's usually always turns out pretty good though
-
k does 10% of field get paid?
