  1. Nice run recently m8 !!

Not talking about the PLB that you seems to be quite crushing these days, I was impressed, I WAS SHOCKED to see that you ship one of the sickest tourney on PS, the well known 1r 3x Turbo. Like StrungOut1 said on your wall "The 1r 3x? Really???"

    - I like to hear a bit of your pro and cons about this rebuy.
    - Of course I am interested to hear everyone's mind about that tourney, deep run story, though on the structure ect.

Congrats for your recent score Bryan !!!!
  2. Pretty sick ive FTd it once came 7th i think

My game plan is to pretty much get it in with any 2 pretty cards untill i double/triple.. then tighten up and you will find that people will make horrible shoves, one time i shoved around 100 bbs with KK and get called by another guy with 100 bbs who had 45s and someone else who have KT (you know the rest)

After the rebuy period its just about running like god + correct shoves/calls/folds as alot of people will make bad shoves trying to pick up blinds just thinking everyone will fold with there 37s

  3. best tourney on the internet imo
  4. i ran insanely good one day in that tournament and was ecstatic to get 43rd!.. true story, sadly.

  6. haha I dunno how I did it man... was playing my standard schedule with a bunch of tables up all of a sudden I had like 15 million with 30 or so people left and kept running good till I won. It helps having the other 4 players 5 handed having average buy-ins ranging from $0.25 to $3.06 lol.

as far as pros and cons for this tourney go, I can't even think of any cons. all fish, quick structure, and insanely high ROI potential. I love the structure. I don't even really go crazy at all in the rebuy period during it. I'm usually already at least 12-15 tabling when it starts so it takes too much attention from my other tables if I try to start shoving a ton of hands during rebuy period. I'd say I'm usually in for an average of around $7-$8.
  7. I was in the top50 like 100 times in that stupid tourney and never FTed it lol well done. Think this is a freeroll tourney in which u can win 10k... I like it.

    this ^^

czar is such a beast damn

the sickest most awesomess thing about this tourney is that the blinds are capped at 1Mill 2Mill.

I FTd this thing as the CL in september with 50Mill (blind had not reached cap yet).

So when it comes down to playing for that 10K first prize, you are playing vs ABIs of 1$ with blinds that are not going up. So awesome <3

  9. GJ czar, congrats! Pretty sick to win that damn thing!
  10. I've had my biggest win from that exact tourney actually. Wait for it..$31.58 for 182nd! :D yes I'm a crusher with with my ABI of $1-2. :) also had an 83rd in the 2x version of same.
But seriously, can there be some more strat posted ITT regarding this 2x/3x tourney pls?
E.g. How much should you ideally look at spending, how many times should you auto-dbl-rebuy? I mean towards the end of the 3x rebuy period, a dbl rebuy gives you less than 10 blinds, at how many blinds should one decide to stop rebuying if at all? (Given the huge add on available). I've watched Jymaster play this recently and he was dbl-rebuying every hand just about, near end of rebuy period, until he finally tripled up and had decent stack with the add-on.
Also, how wide should our range be early on before we get to the shove/fold stack? Loose is better or tight as theczar19 suggests?
Thanks for any insight into good play in these. :)

I can feel it now, thanks for the inside :-) I always love to imagine these deep situation, it's pretty clear that it is not the Tourney you can focus on while playing your reg schedule but looking at 30 left with 15 Milli... adding the Foutight info that the blind are caped to 1/2 and AVB 0.25 to 3.06 Gooooood it must just be a DownTown of Value city at the annual DonkFish meeting...

I'll play it pretty much the same as you do only I can focus a bit more because of my lighter schedule I guess I must have the same AVB, i feel it is not worth it going too crazy, depends on table action obv.
Sometime the table is tight (I mean nearly like a normal rebuy turbo) but usually I just ship my AA/KK utg with 200BB at 15/30 and still get called..
I wonder how you pro see the 30K rebuy factor, do you always go until the rebuy even through it can cost you like 10-12$ more ??

fenwayking you are as sick as Thecarz is !!! WTF is that, must be some kind of a ritual to ship this fishfest or what ??
Wacky, we might be able to comp the ship of this tourney, that must be sick to schedule this for a month span, one day...

Like your view RedIce, if I woud have my FTP roll, I' guess I would nearly consider it as you do ;-)

Next time Racer, next time !!!!

Optimaline, I guess railing the Jmaster early on playing that tourney will not help you at all because they see things differently. They can effort to loose EV by rebuying more than they should because the gain much EV later when the apply pressure better than we do. just my 2 cents...

I guess some lowstakes PPL are interested to hear some more strategy about it, feel free to discuss hereunder. I will add other specific thoughts later on, depends on the coming discussion.
I like BenFaz line unless that I would avoid to ship any2 on the beginning, I guess we can wait for the top 10-15% of hands to play, no need to be that wide.

  13. it compares with the fulltilt rush turbo mtt's at some stages..great tourney, shipped it once, ft'ed once or twice more.

  14. Congrats on the win! Deff a tough tourney to take down. I'm going to win it today!

Tough as in getting there obv...not the competition lol

  15. Heres the strat for this tourney:

First few levels --> play tight

BB800 to BB2500 ---> play loose peopple tighten up to make addon

right after addon ---> play tight, people have short stacks and are getting it in

mid/late game ---> play super fuckin loose. Min raise a ton with a 10-20bb stack. You can min-raise fold a 20bb stack in this cause NO ONE WILL EVER 3BET SHOVE YOU LIGHT.

    glgl
  16. Its pretty nice when you hit the FT and the blinds cap at 1/2 mil some people still think its shove / fold when they have 50 bbs..

  17. And we can add Socrates555 in the list of the sick dude that ship this tourney.. GG budy

Thanks for the detailed strat Fou, I used it yesterday, I feel it is quite accurate only I couldn't abuse as much as I wanted mid-late cause villains couldn't stop their crazyness.. I was sick for reaching the cap of the blinds but fail to win my 2.5 Milli pot... came out 179th

It is impressive how we can still have FE with 7-8BB, 2 times I lost a huge pots (20-30 BB lol) and had to fight with 2-3 BB to climb to 10-15, I run pretty good but still lost 2-3 decent pots, I guess I suckouted once and won a 35/65, all in all I really feel that this tourney is DAM +EV.

    Thanks P5ers !!

  18. I got a few things to say about it..

I think I ran pretty good that day. I think it was the same day I ft the 5r.
Basically I was playing my normal game.. didn't really have a huge stack after the add on.
just had an average stack of 90k or something.

then I played pretty tight. and just seem to get right cards at the right time.
once we got down to like 40 left. I had like 9m. then triple up to 30m with KK on BB against AT and TT..

then once I got to final 2 tables.. I screwed one 30m pot ...basically made a loose call. with A3 against some dude's reship with A8 ..and I was shoving a lot after that BVB and LP etc.. surprisingly i got heaps of fold..
My last hand was shoving 13m with T9 sooted. from mp2 or something. and got a loose call from BB holding A6 i think. for like 95% of his stack.. and my luck run out and i got 14th.. still a good experience..

I guess it's just wait for the right cards.....and shove wide in late stages from late position..
