    favorite online moments...tie
    a) bad beating The Donator 4 handed at the FT of EMpire Poker 200K, to end up taking 2nd place for my largest online cash of $35,000
    b) winning my first Paradise poker $100K guaranteed tourney for my 1st signature win
    c) any of the fun late nights spent on Party poker at 3am in the mourning at FT of the 33 rebuy with the same regulars every day, Roothless, Lil Holdem, etc
    d) being captain of the 30+ team in the battle of the ages

worst moments (not including 4/15/11) all in preflop with my AA with pkt bullets AK(he obv flops broadway) with 16 players remaining in the DISE Masters (final 10 got trip to Atlantis) which Bullets ended up winning for about 250,000
    - and the day Dise and PartyPoker closed its doors to US players (my 2 best sites)

I always had my own business so the poker was never really purely monetary for me, just loved the competition...and always strived for improvement.
I will miss the empty void every Wed night and every other Sunday, which has pretty much been my schedule past 6 months. When you have 2 kids its pretty good for sanity to get away.
I will really miss being able to go to the full tilt hospitality booth at WSOP which is really great in a long day without having to wait in huge food and drink lines and having a place to relax during breaks.
I will not be playing on Carbon, Cake, etc....I always needed a big prize pool to motivate me...nothing like being able to play in 2 different tournies with Multi Million gurantees at the same time.
Player i hated most seeing at my table...Shaniac....guy bad beat me more then anyone i can remember at 100 rebuy FTs.
    ...will miss

  8. I really miss omaha hi/lo and 7game. The fields and guarantees suck now. I miss the full tilt 9kG omaha even though i only played it a few times. I came 3rd in the very last one there was. My worst memory is losing two 75% all ins in the top 20 of the $100kG on ongame with 35k on the line for first, I went out 15th and everyone said UL cause they couldn't believe the bad luck I had. My other bad memory was losing about 75% of my 5050s over the years. Even though I can play I am struggling to fill the omaha/7game void left with the departure of the US players. They were my bread and butter and now they're gone. So sad. RIP online poker. You went too young.

  10. Favorite Memory: Hitting my first 4 figure score, just 3 or 4 weeks back.

Least Favorite Memory: MiniFTOPS Event 1 last October: 2 out re-sucked by pmpnuho after outflopping him w/ 90 left to give me a top 10 stack. Got up to go to work a few hours later just in time to watch him chop for like $45K. I was feeling so good and that was a huge chance for me ripped away. Wanted to puke.

Favorite Tourney: The $8 and $10 nightly turbos on Stars. Few final tables, and a handful of final table bubbles since i started playing them any night I played in the last couple months. Loved going into them knowing I was going to crush them every night.
    Add Ace10Suted to Rail
  11. Favorite Online Poker Memory: Shipping (ie luckboxing) my 2nd ever tourney on Stars for like 1k when I was 16. The money at the time was huge and its what hooked me on to this silly little game. Since I've actually started playing seriously its shipping the Sunday 150k on FTP AINEC. I was pretty much down to broke IRL (backed obvzzz) and really reconsidering this whole poker thing. It was nice to finally have some serious validation for skeptical family and friends.

Least Favorite Online Poker memory: Being in MU for over 8 months from May-January of this year, bottoming out at around 20k. I moved out in August expecting a much quicker return on the poker thing but ended up having to get a shitty job catering to pay the bills. My life was pretty much work and then playing without the possibility of eliminating MU in any given night. It got to be pretty dreadful for a while since I could barely see the light at the end of the tunnel. However going through all that steeled my nerve and resolve big time so it wasn't all for naught.

All time favorite MTT: The evening 50c on FTP. I don't really have any particular success in it but I've always had an irrational affinity for it. Not really sure why.

Best things you did with your poker money: Snap paid off all the bills that were mounting up last month.

Worst things you did with your poker money: Wasting too much money at the bars (esp the last week =[), drinking myself into an incoherent and wholly unappealing stupor. And I guess loaning some friends some money with no real expectation of seeing it back in my hands before summer. Perhaps a tad irresponsible but at the same time I'm fine with it so w/e.

Favorite everyday feeling you might get from poker: Being in that zone where you have a beat on everyone at the table and you can pretty much do no wrong. Even better getting hit with the deck whilst in said zone.

Least favorite everyday feeling you might get from poker: Bluffing the pile OTR only to have the villain turn up the goods (esp if they have what you were trying to rep). That's about the only thing anymore that can really sour my mood during a session.

Never wanna see at your tables again: thebattler33. The guy takes some super creative lines and seemingly gets me to pay him off every time when he has it.

Least Favorite Online Poker memory: Getting 19th in SM, QQ<AA or busting my account countless times taking shots

Favorite Online Poker Memory: i was playing under a different player name, but 2008 played the $11 7pm 20k guar on stars. i was listening to the song "take me out" by franz ferdinand over and over in a great mode. Had 500k when it was down to 3 players while they both had 3 mil+ Beat online pro "0120" to ship $4,235 then got 3rd place a few days later in the same tournament.

Least Favorite Online Poker memory: played a $320 satty to the LAPT San Jose. Way outta my bankroll. About 90% i woulda won a seat, but 4 bet all in some maniac that was playing extremely agro. AK vs AA FTL

All time favorite MTT: the $55 sunday DNG on stars... or the $22 deepstacks on stars @ 6:30pm. Never shipped it, got 2nd a few times. or the $11 cubed Omaha @ 11:15 on stars, so many nice people in that tourney every night i.e. GoPhish, TheGrinder44

Least Favorite Online Poker memory: 2 day mini ftops final two tables i think playing 7 handed and losing 88 to 77 aipf for close to a 80bb pot.
All time favorite MTT: 11r on stars final tabled it 5 times 4 wins and a second, Tilt 109 6max won it 6 times and ANY turbo, mainly the 200 on tilt since i won that 4 times and my biggest score online for 32k came in that.

Best things you did with your poker money: Not work a 9-5. Lots of fun trips with good friends.
Worst things you did with your poker money: Taking way to many shots in hi stakes MTTS.

Could you elaborate? (Not on why I'm a tool- I've posted 509 times so that should be obvious by now) But on why you consider the sites "half ass." Doesn't one these sites bear Doyle Brunson's name? I called Bodog and spoke with somebody. You can't get that at Stars or Tilt. Also, maybe it's overstated in the forum, or maybe it's not, but 90% of people I see on here seem to HATE full-tilt, so driving some traffic to another site and hopefully letting FTP whither away and die slowly couldn't be that bad. But then again...there is another thread on that....so I'll stop there and let you guys get back to your nostalgia.

Good point how could i ever doubt on a site with doyle brunsons name on it. These sites seem to be breaking the same laws as the other sites Accepting funds from players and sending the funds out to players. Just dont see them staying in the USA for all that long. Anyway i was really enjoying this thread and hope to here from more people.

  22. It's not Gboro's thread I have a problem with- very well intended and an enjoyable read. I was just taken aback by it getting more replies than the other more constructive and useful threads about the best options for players still looking to play. As much as it was an enjoyable read, I really don't care about what these pros have accomplished nearly as much as I care about what I intend to accomplish, and to accomplish that, I need to be playing, so I came to pocketfives for useful information and found very little useful information about my options but a lot of blah blah and was irritated. Thanks to Kevmode for his great thread on Carbon Poker this morning. I opened Bodog and Cake accounts yesterday, but it sounds like I should be looking at Carbon as well. As far as these pros having larger buy-ins than the highest stakes offered at these sights, well, they can afford to go find live action and the sites have already been raising their guarantees. Plus, FTP and PS are giving us our money back, so besides the money we all may lose from Cereus, it's game on with some adjustments, not game off with a bunch of nostalgia from a bunch of "pros" that I don't know or owe anything. That's all I was trying to say. Also, I'm out of town visiting the family, have no weed, no poker, and it's sunday, so yeah, I'm a little chippy, I'll admit that. Sorry guys!! :((

For a majority of people who have posted in this thread, playing a $60 3k gtd on Carbon Poker simply is not their best option, meaning nobody cares to open such a thread. Quit hating on us for trying to find a little closure during difficult times. Probably the best thing I did with poker money. A lot of great times that would have never came to be without poker. To each his own, though.

Favorite Online Poker Memory: Getting to the point where I was confident that I'm profitable in any MTT online.

Least Favorite Online Poker Memory: Not a memory but more of a regret...Not networking early in my career.

All time favorite MTT: Could say Sunday 2nd Chance :) but 6-max 100r is the most fun.

Best things you did with your poker money: Bought my mom things she couldn't afford herself...$30k TLB prop bet. Lost the bet and gave myself a terrible price but don't regret it for a second.

Worst things you did with your poker money: Spent too much on material things instead of traveling and fun...Left too much online/didn't save a rainy day fund.

Favorite everyday feeling you might get from poker: Feeling like a boss after inducing multi-street bluffs and calling river shoves with 3rd pair and being right.

Least favorite everyday feeling you might get from poker: Getting outplayed by anyone, no matter who they are.

Best things you did with your poker money: travel, buy a reasonable car with cash right after graduating college, long term investments.

Worst things you did with your poker money: played in tough online $100rs and $1ks, or played when I shouldn't have (tilted, tired, etc)

Favorite everyday feeling you might get from poker: making thin value bets and getting called by worse.

Least favorite everyday feeling you might get from poker: spazzing out late in tournaments for no real reason.

Things you wanted to accomplish and never did: ft the sunday million after trying for years. Win a ftops or a wcoop/scoop. made a a bunch of deep runs but never quite sealed the deal.

agrii, nothing can take away the feeling of telling your friends "dont worry bout it, i got you tonight" and it basically makes their week.
Favorite Online Poker Memory: Talking to my friends everyday on skype/aim, discussing HH's and shooting the shit about non-sense. You don't really realize how big of a part of your life they are until they are gone :( Tournament Wise: Winning 27 straight hands 3 handed in the 8pm 35k against TILTOHOLIC and some rando from Netherlands, can't describe the feeling of just raping the table and knowing your going to win.

Least Favorite Online Poker memories: Losing to 4 2 outers to bust out of the 22c(sunday), 24k 75er 4 handed for CL, 11r 4 handed and 750k with 100 ppl left. I really wanted to make those big scores that probably cost me 50-60k in equity to give my backer the money, Nothing would be more pleasing than transfering that kind of money to somebody that believed in me from the beginning. Thnx Lee118 Ill be forever grateful to you.

All time favorite MTT: FTP: 20r 6max Stars: 22c

Best things you did with your poker money: Bar Tabs for friends and bought 2 57" TV's for me and my Dad

Worst things you did with your poker money: Blew it on Craps and Live PLO

Favorite everyday feeling you might get from poker: Running a huge 3 barrell bluff in a 3bet pot, where u jam a psb on the river and he tanks forever b4 folding

Least favorite everyday feeling you might get from poker: Getting 5-bet

Things you wanted to accomplish and never did: Win the 162 6max/Stars/Sunday

Have you enjoyed it: No regrets ever

Never wanna see at your tables again: ambiguosity, Counting Bodies
