When i got heads up i had 5 million in chips to the other guys 500,000 -
$26KO @ FTP. Was never really playing MTTs and just trying and hanging around cashgames. On a rainy day staying with my GF @ her parents. Nothing to do so decided to play an MTT, 1 tabling the whole way.. :) SHIP SHIP..

Staying with my gf @ her parents house for a week and it was a rainy day. Was not really into MTTs that much. Started up the $26ko @ good old FTP (RIP)... 1 tabled the whole way.

Nice thread. .-)
Dont know if it was my first win, but I remember the first "big field" win.
It was a $0.50 buy-in on PS, I think.
5.000 runners full, and after 10.5 hours, I won the damn thing!
Had only been playing for 6 months, I think.
Not much cash, but what a Rush!
I had just finished reading Gus Hansens "Every Hand Revealed", and just played his style.
Maybe I should read it again..... :-p -
Wow! very nice Jack. Thats a sick win, very nice!! I think i will join you on reading Gus Hansen's book, as clearly 'murkmanz edition' of how to play poker is a load of bollox :(

Last month thought i'd have a crack at some MTT action which is new to me, as i'm generaly a win some, lose plenty cash gamer. First significant cash was 3rd for $4700 or so on stars $33NL pretty much straight up just in time for Chrissy, about a week later i won my first MTT, $33 Turbo 500 max for $3k. This led to the decision that i'm more likely to be a winning Tournie player than cash game player.
Though from the sounds of it, this may have just been a flash in the pan. Here's hoping. -
I won two Railbird Freerolls back-to-back on the very same day!
Sick brag I know.... yup, I played on Railbirds!
It was in June 2008. First one was on FTP & then again later in the same day on pokerstars. (~800entrants).
... I think I won ~$90 from those two ;) -
um...I won a 10k runner frellroll..does that count?
otherwise it would be feb 2011 .won 4.4 4max on stars for 640. -
UB $10+1 3K guarantee.
Chopped HU with this guy Wein. Not sure you guys know of him. He went on to greatness....I went on to have more kids. -
$24+2 PLO8 4k GTD on FTP, for ~$1400.
It still holds up as my 2nd biggest cash, and easily my most satisfying poker moment. -
IT SURE DOES SSG!! A win is a win imo regardless of buyins, if you won the game and got paid ITS A NICE WIN!!
Nice one guys, some sick first wins! I was proud of my first win but i only beat 500 players, im hearing of players here beating tourny's with fields in excess of 3000-4000 + AMAZING!!
Keep up the great work all!!

Monkey R&A on the old paradise, god i loved that site b4 the merge they did.. Runners are very vague as was many years ago, normally about 300-400, and was for 1300$, went on to win bigger things on Dise, then the site went pete tong and everyone pretty much deserted there. Ever since, ive had a few decent scores on stars, but very few and far between

I used to just play cash really then started playing in a pub game with P5er ronnieb122, heard he had a 4k score so I wanted to get in on the MTTs, went home and played the 2k guaranteed $15 freeze on ipoker and binked it for $540 and been hooked on MTTs since :L

I remember it like it was yesterday. The Big 2.20 on Poker stars for 950. Felt so nice to get the monkey of my back and finally cage one.
Oh wait, it was yesterday.
