very classy of P5s
and theman200050:
i doubt it was rigged....heads up poker is incredibly volatile and high variance...notoriously swingy!
i've had this kind of thing happen more than I'd like to admit, especially in turbos where the ranges are even wider....ive lost several times like this someone winning half a dozen all ins in a row with the worst hand. -
Thanks again for playing and glad you're enjoying the TV!

Thanks again

It was unfortunate that Dan inserted the word "only" in the origanal post about this tourny. The same paragraph AND the next paragraph states clearly what HWP policy has been since I have been a member, about a year now.
"All U.S. players are welcome. To sign up for the game, click on Tournaments & Leagues in the HogWild lobby." Not all HWP P5s League members are also members of P5s. (yet) Lots of HWP Regs have been playing "our" league from the start. Some have quit. With out their support you may not even be enjoying that TV.

I agree that it's class act for P5s to step up and give you a TV since it was clear from the post you referenced that the game was open to ALL US players. And especially since, you didn't win it. Looking at your P5s profile it is obvious to me that you have very likely experenced a beat or two like this before. And even if not, you knew you had one coming!
I am assuming that the fact that Glenn signed up for P5s the next day is exactly why P5s got involved in the first place. It would be really unfortunate and unfair if anyone is left with doubts about the integrity of Glen or HWP over this example of a one word typo. And your failure to read the whole post carefully.
Enjoy your TV, and maybe, work on you'r heads up game some. Everyone can get better, right? I hope you will continue to play HWP and encourage others to as well.
And, I want to thank OTR, P5s AND HWP for the 6 months training package I just won. One of many great prizes ANY US player can win at HWP. -
Very classy Dan/pocket fives. I read it as it's open to all US players, period, but op made a strong point as well and without any public discussion, you took the the classy route. It was close and you likely may have come to that decision anyway, so that's why it was great to see it just out of the gate without ill will.
