That is filth.
"The Brick - New!
Hold'em No Limit. Buy in $10,200.
6 players per table. 20k starting chips. 15 minute blinds. 30 min late reg."
1 player registered at the moment. Looks like they've put forward $50k of their own money towards the prize pool. -
Lol I saw this yesterday and was confused as well
There's been no advertising and apparently no satellites. Not to mention the structure seems pretty crappy. If be pretty surprised if this gets more than 10 people

Yeah, 888 is def running this tournament. I talked to them this morning about something unrelated and they are pretty interested to see what kind of turnout they would expect.

Yes, The Brick is real.

It's an absolutely normal, potentially Multi-table, 10K buy-in tournament.
The Brick is not special in any way at the moment.
No promotion, super-long structure, satellite structures (at the moment), massive Tournament Ticket Freerolls, etc.

It's a regular 10K buy-in tournament - may become a daily as far as we are concerned, and we would really appreciate P5er's feedback on it.

We are ready to rethink everything, especially when it comes to tournaments =). This is not your usual 10K HS MTT - this is a "normal" tournament, it just happens to have a 10K buy-in.
Hopefully we'll introduce a Turbo Brick eventually as well.
Anderson -
Would you play if it blinds were longer? And what if there were only 1-2 tables but with a few whales?

EDIT: on a second thought, they might level us hard and actually run it without a guaranteed and never get any runners but get people talking about them... -
you guys over at 888 must be smoking some really good shit:

NONE of the suggestions raised in the official feedback thread are ignored.
Each feedback post was forwarded to developers and managers at 888poker. We appreciate the feedback we get from P5 very much, and I wish we could introduce the features suggested here even faster. We've made countless changes to the tournaments on 888 based on the feedback received from P5ers, and we really appreciate your input.

Theres +50k on it already. Is there always going to be +50k or not? I assume not? If there is you should put $50k added. Makes it more appealing.

what's with all the 888 hate??? 2nd best site on the planet. go put your money on merge or ipoker if you don't like how they are trying to improve the game. your money is safe that's all you need to know. mid-stakes grinders complaining about the nosebleeds...pfffft! that's like me complaining about the one-drop!?!?

dont' get me wrong, i love 888, and it's easily my 2nd favorite site to play on behind stars.

this whole "let's run a 10k with no promotions or anything" idea is just really dumb tho. if i'm gonna play a 10k online, i'd like there to be more than 3 runners in it
