i disagree... just because the others were willing to chop doesnt change the fact that it was forced upon them. ute or markus just as easily could have shipped the whole thing when no chop occured, and should be compensated

I have to think that regardless of what any player likes, if the maintenance HAD to be done right then, the tourney should resume at whatever time determined by FTP. The chop isnt right

FTP customers: "You are the worst of the worst, FTP. Why do you suck so much and not care at all about customer service?!"
FTP owners: "Inelastic demand, we havez it."
Every time FTP does something jacked up like this or jerks around the regs in some way there are talks about pitchforks, torches, and boycotts. The simple truth is FTP's "product" has inelastic demand in the sense that regs (people who actually make their living playing online poker) have no option but to continue playing on FTP. Somebody who makes 50% of their income from FTP and 50% of their income from stars can't and won't just walk away from half of their weekly income.
In other words, FTP does not have to appease the regs, b/c the regs are 100% dependant on FTP as a source of income. Until some miracle comes along to change that fact, such as legislation that knocks down the massive barriers to entering the US market, we can expect to see continued indifference on FTP's part.
Whats interesting is that Stars could easily take this approach too. They could jerk customers around, find every way possible to increase rake/profit, and essentially neglect the concept of customer support. Lucky for us, they don't. They are focused on building and maintaining the best site in the industry and having a huge, loyal customer base regardless of any changes that occur within the industry. -
Are u serious? U sayin the fkn stupid ass tilt ninjas and smilin turtles are better than own avatars on stars?? glad i dont play there, if full tilt was a player i would wish him cancer every day all day, they can't be real!!! this is not acceptable. I DON'T WANNA GET ROBBED, I'M NOT PLAYING ON FULL TILT POKER DOT FUCKIN NET.

oh and let's be honest, ftp players are like girls to full tilt, the worse tilt treats them, the more the players will kiss tilt's ass. and a boycott is no option since it
1. wont hurt tilt much, there will be about 99% there who won't ever know about whats going on there and
2. other regs will exploit the fact that a lot of regs are gone so all the tourneys become soft as hell
tilt gotchya'll
sad thing all around, hopefully obama gives a piece of his change to full tilt -

Not sure how chopping is beneficial for a short stack. By chopping a shorty has zero percent chance of getting first place money while not chopping they have at least some chance of making more money.
doesnt mean that he didnt loose equity due to this as he likely did.
also, fuck METs and this is def unacceptable.
