  1. I have won several tickets to the $100k guarantee tournament that runs weekly on Bovada.. I play multiple satellites throughout the week to get as many of these tickets as possible. In Bovada's tournament lobby, it shows you what tournaments you can register for what tickets you have. I was browsing the lobby for the BDPO coming up and all of the $162 buy ins (events number 1, 4, and the main event second chance) all allow me to register with $100k guaranteed tickets. So I take the next logical step in thinking "great, this obviously means that the ticket values are interchangeable and you can register for any $162 with a $162 ticket or $109 with $109 ticket regardless of the name etc..." like any reasonable person would. So i start satelliting to get as many different valued tickets as possible. I then win a $109 ticket to a $109 satellite for the $450 main event. I already have won a $450 main event ticket last week. The $109 ticket won't let me register for any of the actual events (events 7, 10, 14, 15, 20, 22, and 23). So i call customer support and they tell me that you can only register for the specific tournament name on each ticket. This is obviously untrue because I am currently registered in events 1, 4 and the main event second chance with tickets that specifically say $100k guaranteed ticket. So the customer support person tells me the only tournament I can play in is a satellite to the $450 Main Event and if I win the ticket I will not be allowed to use it for anything. Can someone at Bovada please replace this worthless $109 ticket with a $109 ticket to one of the actual events and then fix your lobby so that you stop fucking your customers?? thanks.

Hello. If you'd like to PM us your account number, we'd be happy to take a look into this situation for you.
  3. Since this thread Bovada support went out of their way to call me, fixed their lobby so that you can only register for tournaments with the specific tickets by name for the BDPO series so no one should have this issue in the future, they replaced the $109 ticket that was useless to me with a $109 ticket I can use for any $109 buy in, and gave me a free $22 tournament ticket for my troubles. I must say I am very impressed with their customer service on this issue. Thank you Bovada!

  4. Thats good to hear Aaron. Its not often that you hear of CS doing anything for players. If only Bovada would take the same amount of time and give us a "change seat" option...

  5. I don't care about the change seat option as much as being player 15
  6. So this is why I can't win any sattys. Let me know when you've won all the tickets you need so I can start playing them again. :)

  7. im confused what happens when you win multiple tickets to the same BDPO event? are you given T$ or cash or nothing?

  11. Having same issue, just won 3x $109 seats and customer support hit me back with this:

    Dear Bryan,

Thanks for contacting Bovada Poker Customer Service.

We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us regarding the tickets that were issued to your account. A customer can be eligible to receive more than one of the tickets to the BDPO; however, only one ticket can be used. The other ticket on your account, will be invalid on the date that it expires which will be tomorrow. We ask that you ignore this ticket as you already used one of the tickets issued to register for the game. We apologize for any inconvenience that may be caused by this.

Our Poker Customer Service Team is available by phone and e-mail at poker@bovada.lv 24/7 to help if you need anything else.

    Thanks,

    Poker Customer Service

    -------------------

sure looks like they are just rolling donks who win multiple tickets and don't complain. I'm not personally worried about my $218 in equity, I'm confident I'll have Tdollars or whatever after Customer service takes a look, but man how can they not have an automated system ? for sure donks are winning multiple tickets and getting cheated an not doing anything about it.

Insane policy / would of course be totally illegal to do this in Vegas / they are just stealing, but are giving me back my money just this once and reserve the right to steal again:

    Dear Bryan,

Thanks for contacting Bovada Poker Customer Service.

We understand that this is regarding the 2 BDPO Event #14 tickets that were issued to your account. As previously mentioned to you in the last email, players can win more than one entry to the BDPO but only one ticket can be use and the other tickets will be forfeited. You may view the terms and conditions regarding this on our site or simply click the link below.

    http://poker.bovada.lv/poker-promoti...er-open/events

As a one time exception, since you cannot use the other 2 BDPO Event #14 tickets you have won, we will remove it in your account and we have issued 2 tickets for Any $100 + $9 on your account. Please be advised not to join in the same tourney so that this situation won't happen again.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for your email. Should you have any questions, or require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Regards,

    Poker Customer Service

As a one-time courtesy, we won't steal your money. Move along!

  14. If it states in the T&C that you can only use one, then you have nothing to complain about them giving you regular $100+9 tickets to compensate for the fact you didn't read the T&C.

I agree that its pretty shit that they have it written like that, but if you don't like it, then don't play. If players took the time to understand how a satellite system actually works for most (usually live( tourneys we wouldn't have this problem online either.
  15. They shouldn't let you enter another satelite though if you already won a ticket if these are the rules. This is very shady, but I don't think Bovada is the only poker room that does this.

I really hate posts like this. Don't be that nerd that just rolls over and takes it up the ass from these companies. Realize there is no gaming board, no recourse of any way for us the players. The only power we have is making something like this public, on every site possible, alerting as many Bovada customers as possible. That is how you handle people. Never take Bovada's side in any way when it comes to this issue. I've played every poker site since 1999 Paradise. I have never seen, live or online, the ability for a player to enter a tournament they cannot win and automatically lose the buy in no matter which place they finish. It's outright stealing and it must be brought to top Bodog Poker guys.

  18. I've seen it on other sites (think years ago for WSOP), but that is beyond the point. And on those sites, I believe there is a warning in the lobby about winning multiple tickets.

That would be ideal, but its easier to put the responsibility on the player

Obviously not, but you have to click that you have read and understand them so you have to accept the ramifications of that action

I'm hardly taking sides here, I'm reading the communication that they have sent you and seeing that it is in the T&C and you were luck y to get the tickets swapped. You're bitching to get your tickets converted not to get the T&C changed.

If you want them changed, then you'll need to write to them with a very convincing argument and a shit load or others to do the same, but most of the time poker players are not motivated to do anything that does not directly affect them at the moment they are in.

What you did was not in line with the T&Cs and you have IMO absolutely no recourse against them, but I wish you luck in getting it changed for the future.
