i just spoke with an online rep from Carbon Poker via chat support and she seemed very confident their site was going to remain secure and fully functional for U.S. players. their mtt schedule has always been ok. Opinions? Is it REALLY secure? I have always liked Carbon so the transition would be a good change of pace, imo. Grind Carbon and hit the live felt until this all blows over and something more legitimate replaces the shady 3.
Any one with me on this? Or is depositing truly idiotic. It seems thin but could still be good value. . . I'm lost. I lost almost everything as a result of this madness. I love online grinding and cant imagine not making additional income doing soooooo. :( -
When I ever try to deposit on dog the client takes meto a diffeent cashier screen and once there the screen binks and I can't really click anything. This was a problem a few months ago so not due to traffic. Is it just my lame internet?

Tough times for us on-line grinders so please don’t think I’m not aware of that as I make this post. I haven’t even posted about the fact that I made my first deposit in over 2 years on stars just 2 days before "Black Friday" and didn’t even play it yet, was gonna try to satty into some SCOOP events. It wasn’t a large deposit and while I hope I do see that money again some day, I understand the bigger picture so no need for me to gripe about it.
But what has me absolutely irate this morning is that Bodog changed the structure of the 1K Super Stack tournament that is held at 11:00. It seems like it is now the same structure that they use for the $3 750 GTD’s which absolutely sucks. They are taking a tournament which is supposed to be a super stack structure and just turn it into a turbo once it reaches the money at 18. Not sure when they did this as I only play this on the weekends but I know that I final tabled the tournament 3 times in the last month (1st, 2nd, and 3rd thank you very much) and it didn’t have this stupid structure. You would only notice it when you get deep and it tilted me so much I just busted 12th.
So once again, I do understand the on-line poker community has bigger problems right now but Nate, you think you could tell Bodog to switch this back, it really does suck!!! -
Highly doubt that this is even remotely intelligent statement. No like the DOJ can just say oh click your a poker site, got ya. Poker has nothing to do with the charges and for everyone believing its "money laundering and fraud" just LOL. They wont touch bodog. Just like they wont touch any sports books that are making a shit ton more than FTP/PS

What sportsbook that offers bets to the US makes more money than pokerstars does/did?

All of them. They are taking peoples entire deposits at a rate of probably like 95%. Poker is taxing a percentage, while sports books are the house and the players are betting against the house. These sportsbooks have been operating onine alot longer than these pokerrooms. Sports betting is the most popular fourm of betting in America and pokers not even close to it. Sportsbooks are killing it but obviously they are paying under the table to the right people or they are owned by the right people, one of the two.

I have always like Bodog. Good thing I still have a little bit of money on there. Looks like I will be putting in a ton of volume on there now.

I deposited $100 on Bodog this past weekend with my debit card in the US just to test it. I was shocked to see the $100 show up instantly in my account. I had a pending charge of $105~ (dep fee) for several days but it looks like my bank rejected the transfer and the pending charge went away. I played an $82 turbo so I already lost the funds. Has anyone had this experience with bodog yet? I'm wondering if they'll be able to get the money now (and if I had won, what would have happened) Spewed the last 18 on some exacta derby bet the same day.

Thanks for the info. Just wondering-is the check directly from Bodog or a payment processor? Don't need to name the processor obv but just wondering if they are obviously trying to disguise it as online poker winnings.

Bodogs 2 biggest weaknesses:
1) The Withdrawel fees are outrageous.
2) At the 7 stud game, the size of the cards needs to be increased at least 25%, their seems to
be plenty of room to accomodate this.
Otherwise the games play smoothly, the support is very good, and there are always at least low
limit games spread. If they improve the fees and graphics a bit, they can grab a huge market
share at this juncture. -
They need to have breaks at 5 till the hour every hour like all other sites... soooooo annoying...

I haven't put any money on Bodog i can't afford just have taken in one way or another. But if you just call them they will help you to deposit. I used the phone card option, bought the card with pre-paid green dot and funds show up immediately. The operator can do it all if you havent set up an account on the phone card site. $50 minimum deposit.

Unofficially, just from what I have read on here and whatnot, aside from a couple bounced checks and banks not honoring some deposits, things are going smoothly. The number of deposit/withdrawal issues seems to be at the base-line pre-black friday level.
If you are having issues, don't fret. Bodog has always been good about getting this stuff sorted out and taking extra steps to keep their customers satisfied.
