Got this email today does this affect Lock at all????? And i thought Juicy was part of the Merge network -
I got it too! Mine does not specifically say "US". I am pretty sure that "Juicy" was part of old Cake, now Revolution network. I was able to log on to Lock just after seeing this email.

www.CakePoker.eu Basically has the same message on home page!
Just found an email from Juicy Steaks in my spam folder. I did try and download but my Norton program told me not to. "suspicious cloud" I am sure it's not a problem but I'm gonna wait. See whats up. -
Still not sure why US players continue to play when it's clearly not safe and any of these sites could shut down at any time.
I'm itching to play as well guys, but is it really worth the hassle of dealing with crappy support and software? -
Yes & No. It's better than not playing. Only min deposits and micro, low limit for me. Yes, very frustrating but I'm seeing hands! I play live often as able, but closest poker room 4 hours, so.
Actually, Im only playing Bovada and HWP right now. Playing very little on Merge and not at all on Revolution. -
I play on Intertops and it has been a great experience. The support is absolutely amazing. I've never had an email ignored, and, in fact, most replies come within hours, not days or weeks. The live support feature actually works and there's a toll free phone number to call (where a real live person answers) should you wish to speak with someone directly. Checks arrive in 5 business days and I've never heard of anyone having a problem with one. In this time for online poker, you couldn't ask for anything more imo.
Of course, we all need to know that any funds we keep in a US facing online poker acct these days are in jeopardy potentially. So obviously that should factor into your decision about how much time/money you want to invest in playing.
My concern is why the players are being shifted to the new skin? I'm assuming that its being done to protect the skin, the network and the players from needless exposure to seizure by whatever evils may be lurking. It's a bad sign that neither Cake or Revolution has offered a reason for the change. But I suppose that it is also plausible that this was Cake's strategy all along and this is just the second, and final, step in removing itself from the US market. -
the cake/juicy/ lock/rev..idk what it is, no longer takes any us members, idk if the ones still on can keep playing or not, i think intertops saw this coming. they stoped taking us members awhile ago
-
Will our stats still be posted under our Cake s/n? I don't see any option to enter a s/n for Juicy Stakes Poker.
-
I'm not too worried considering Cake was falling apart before hand. I was also under the impression intertops stopped accepting new customers because the opening of Revolution network increased their traffic significantly and they didn't want to fall behind on customer support. I'm pretty sure intertops players would be fine either way considering our money is on the Sportsbook??? not sure though
-
Has anyone from US downloaded per the Juicy Stakes instructions yet? Norton keeps blocking mine. Thx.
-
Norton is understandably suspicious of downloads with out a lot of users. I'm pretty sure you can direct Norton to accept and download. I quit playing Lock and Cake, have no bankroll so no reason to play there now. But if you had some money on Cake I think you are safe to download a Revolution poker site. And you dam sure ought to at least try to cash out!
-
I have not gotten an email but I can't log on to Cake. It's saying my email/password is invalid.

Cake won't respond to my emails.
I went to www.CakePoker.eu and it says what the emails others have recieved say re: Juicy.
I downloaded the Juicy software but I am afraid to sign in and give them my account info. -
i deposited on lock today and still play on there and im in new york idk what you guys are talking about. i just never keep much money on there just incase it gets shut down as soon as i get the 650 min withdrawl i cash out and deposit less
-
Here is more information on the transfer...sounds dicey. I'd like to think this was a good change that will get us US players paid faster but definitely doesn't seem to be the case.

I had a Pending cash out from like late June I think on cake. Anyway that the cash out will still be pending on juicy now? Anyone else in the same boat? I was just praying it went through before the shit hit the fan. At least it was all from a 10 dollar promotion....

Here's PocketFives' feature article on the migration of Cake Poker's USA traffic to Juicy Stakes:

We also reached out to Cake Poker officials for the reason for the move. We'll let you know if we hear anything. -
I think its a shuffle to preserve a player base..maybe they are thinking of a way to dispose of the cake name, and maybe get off a government radar? maybe they have an idea for being able to enter US someday somehow should it be legalized? Under some other name or scheme?
Edited By: tripseekerx Sep 28th, 2012 at 07:02 PM
Basically a self preservation move maybe? Pop up all brand new, and NOT look like a company who operated through ALL the past maddness? whether legal or not...
Who knows, best guess would be a $$$$ based decision, in some stretch...
ps..miss the Cypra podcasts, where'd they go? -
Thanks Dan keep us posted bro!

I sent Juicy an email asking about my account they said it had been moved and the verified the amount of money in my account. I downloaded Juicy and signed in and it's just like Cake 2.0. I then sent an email asking if I still had my rakeback and was told "yes." I was also told we could move our notes over.
The only option shown for withdrawal is check. I'll probably wait a week and request a check. We will see if it comes faster than Cake's did. I'll post my payout progress. -
Can someone tell me the steps to move my notes from Cake to Juicey?
Thanks. -
Cake was up to a 6 month or more lag time to mail checks to U.S. players, and then some of the checks BOUNCED. Can Juicey payment processes possibly be any WORSE than Cake for U.S. players ? Maybe. But I'm kinda glad my Cake money was moved to Juicey. The transition was smooth and hopefully Juicey can speed up the payment processes for U.S. players.

Cabo: Re:notes I haven't tried this yet...but I think it will work for importing notes into Juicey. Go into the 'My Profile' option in the main Juicey lobby and choose 'Import Notes from Client 1'.
-
All I know about Juicy so far is that I've been sitting in a $7 SNG for 10+ minutes and only 2 are registered.
-
'Import Notes from Client 1'.
I tried this, it said they were imported but they were not.
If someone can give me step by step instructions I would appreciate it. -
Thank you for your email. Due to the current delays we are experiencing with cashouts, I'm afraid we cannot confirm a timeframe as we could not guarantee a timeframe and we do not wish to mislead you. We are hoping you won't be waiting much longer and we will email you as soon as the funds have been sent. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Kind Regards
