Hi I am going to copy and paste the first post I made on 2+2 forum and link to the thread .
Thought I should post it on here let you guys know too .
Hi ,
I was wondering if I can get some feedback from you guys and tell me what i can do about this .
Been playing a guy on cakepoker and took 60k off him over last 3-4 days and they locked my account today and took the money I won off him out of my account .
Ill post the emails they sent below .
Thanks Mark.
Hello Mark,
Thank you for your email. Can you please first explain us your relationship with account MaxSteak ?
Kind Regards,
Walter
CakePoker Security.
I replyed that I dont have any relationship with this guy and just played him at the tables .
Then I get ...
One of the partner sites on the Cake Network had a security issue which involved some accounts bringing fraudulently acquired funds to the tables and losing them. Your account was one of the accounts which won funds from one these fraudulent accounts ($60,614.10). We are sure you recognized and understood that the manner in which these accounts were playing against you was not rational poker. We apologize for this unfortunate issue but we cannot allow these funds to be retained in your poker account since they were not legitimate funds to begin with. These funds have now been removed from your account.
Regards,
Cake Poker Security
Back into my account now and the money I won off that guy is gone .
This is so sick what do i do ??
Any info is much appreciated thanks .
Anyway thats the first post I made on the thread and heres the link http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...t-wtf-1040155/
Any input/suggestions would be much appreciated .
Thanks . -
Cake should eat this loss, it is not up to the player to determine that their opponents are playing with legitimate funds. I would keep fighting this with cake but I doubt you'll get it back. This is why poker needs to be regulated. Good luck man.
-
This. When players are unfairly treated we have no recourse whatsoever. We just have to suck it up.
-
Maybe it looks like someone made bad deposits or transfers with stolen funds and dumped it off to you in 3 days so you can cash it out. Atleast it looks a little like that.

Or chip dump scenario like the bigdogpocket5s one.
Just saying what it looks like, in no way am I saying its any of these.
Reason: ? -
Definitely seems shady that you won 60k off one person in 3 days... What would be the motivation for some random guy who fraudulently got money on cake to just dump it to a random guy?? Maybe he watched pay it forward and just picked you hehehe
-
Write them an email and ask them, had this account playing with fraudulent funds won money off of you would they return your money? I highly doubt it. Withdraw all your money from that pos site asap and never play there ever again.
-
Nah brah, I read the whole other thread and I seriously doubt this was a dump. Dude posted HEAPS of HHs and a graph plus he didn't get banned from cake. Someone was just able to 'deposit' 100k or something without it clearing first and just spewed. OP was unlucky in that he essentially got free rolled because cake sure as shit ain't reimbursing him if he loses. Fucked up situation that should not happen.
-
So what if you lost money to him. Would cake email you the same message? Due to irregular play the money is credited back to your account
-
whats 60k to you tony g?
anyway it sounds like the guys fucked the site over with a dodgy payment, then played you lost. i don't see how they would/could rectify this for you unfortunately. -
This is why they (all sites) need to release information on exactly who is defrauding or cheating on the sites. I am sure there are plenty of people who have made fraudulent deposits who have won, and yet we never hear about the sites giving people money back (except when the community gets together and figures out who these cheaters are).
Has anyone checked the playing history of MaxSteaks to see if anyone lost money to this guy, with step 2 seeing if those players were contacted by Cake about being reimbursed? -

no.
they are saying the funds were fraud, if it was dumping, he would have been banned.
Go look at the HH's before making dumb comments -
what do HH's really prove? obviously their going to do everything they can to make it look legitimate and not like chipdumpage.
-
Just give up man, its like arguing with a wall. They made their minds up and thats all there is to it.
-
yea, i read the 2+2 thread like you man, this guys situation is absolutely ridiculous. If he doesn't get the funds back, everyyyyone should be emailing cake, and withdrawing from there. Fulltilt and stars would have never allowed something like this.
-
I'm actually pretty unbiased. "We are sure you recognized and understood that the manner in which these accounts were playing against you was not rational poker." LOL at leftymike saying that is talking about "the funds being fraud". they are obviously talking about the actual poker that was played. hug more nuts tho...
-
What they mean by that statement is that he should know that no one in their right mind would just spew like his opponent did, (which is ludicrous because we all dream of that situation live players included) and therefor he should know that his opponent illegally obtained his funds, which is equally as ludicrous.
-
so by this logic, the guy illegally obtained the funds just so that he could spew them off. 60k worth in fact, to the same guy in a few day span. wow what a guy.

-
cancelled credit card payment(s) after he lost and cake doesnt wanna eat it?
-
Complete bullshit. If I won money on a cash game and had it taken away I would be as outraged as the OP. I have been dabbling a little in cash games on Cake, but am going to stop. Cake was basically freerolling the OP and could happen to anyone. It isn't our responsibility to make sure the player you are playing against isn't using fraudulent funds, that is the responsibility of Cake.
-
look for the Gaming comission that applies to Cake Network and forward your problem to them
If you are talking the truth here, its plain and simple ridiculous what they are doing.
if u are playing a rich donkey who spews a lot and u just take his money, wtf do u have to do with it?? now they tell u that u SHOULD know he wasnt playing fair poker??? hahahhaha this is laughable!
fwiw, i had a problem with full tilt regardin cashout, i emailed the gaming comission responsible for that site and in 1 day i had my problem solved.
More and more i feel like playing only at stars. had no problem with them until now. -

Are you an idiot? theres a difference between reading, and comprehending. Clearly you cannot comprehend.
Your account was one of the accounts which won funds from one these fraudulent accounts ($60,614.10). ^^^^^^ did you COMPREHEND these 3 sentences?
the answer is no, you did not.
clemsonrich your an idiot.
do you see the part about how they were not legit funds.. or you use your super secret reading vision to forget about that sentence?
Your just making yourself look worse everytime you comment talking about something completely irrelavant to this. They are saying that because of how bad the guy was, he should have known that he would not be able to keep his money..... lets think about that for a second. -
It was actually over 60k to multiple people, but you know that already because of your awesome reading comprehension skills.
-
wrong. if u read the title, it clearly says "...take back 60k i win off a .."

i just dont see how they can state that u clearly knew the money was from fraud... looks like they see some connection between u 2.
meh, gl!
