  1. Hey all,

I haven't played online since black friday but have noticed alot of US players still playing on alternate sites.

Was hoping to get some feedback on which sites are being used and any info on deposit/cashout issues and also rakeback. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. CAKE, BOVADA, Merge networks.

You need to take time to read the threads posted about issues with the different sites.
  3. I just started playing on americas card room! although small I really like the feel of the software and gives you the option to chop and straddle. So far customer support has been very helpful. Have not withdrew money yet but I hear 10-14 days on checks and also them offering a debit card. Deposit option are credit card or person 2 person MG or WU. I have used person 2 person MG a few times and is fast and easy, with no problem money showing up in my account. about 5 mins after i give reference #.
  4. Cake if your in the U.S. sucks, 3-4 months on payouts and the software sucks.
ACR is ok, good player support and cashouts I was told was fairly quick
Carbon has the best software of the three, checks take about 3-4 weeks, but they now have Western-Union.
  5. From personal experience I would play lock and bovada.

  6. Hey Mgala, if you go with Lock Poker, prepare to wait on payments. I just joined lock because everyone was sucking up to this site saying how spectacular their payouts are.

They're very efficient at taking your money and setting up your on-line account. I signed up and deposited money via credit card and had online chips in about 10 minutes.

But, if you win chips at Lock Poker, suddenly the process slows down horridly. The following is how Lock Poker's functioning as of May 2012.

It's been since May 9th that I requested them to verify my account. The account verifcation process means they identify you with documentation, which means you electronically scan and send them a copy of your id and credit card so they can pay you your winnings when you cash out.

I submitted account verification to Lock Poker and they told me in the email that my information was in a security queue and to expect a reply in 24-72 hours. That was 16 days ago (what's that 10 business days or so?)

To add to matters, I was on a heater and quadrupled my account balance while playing on the tables.

Apparently, Lock withdrawals, once your accounts been verified, take only a few days to process if you're receiving electronic wire; or a week or two if you request a check.

Problem is that they don't seem to know how to look at an id and agree that name to the name on a credit card. That takes me about all of 2 seconds to do.

So, maybe your 6 hour drive to Atlantic City's not all that bad a deal.
  7. How risky is it for a brand new poker player in the US to play on Merge? What should I take into consideration?
  8. Like all poker players: you should only play with money you can afford to lose. This will allow you to make optimal decisions based on proper mathematical decisions.

You need to play without fear of lost.

Playing online under the current climate also requires you to play knowing that you may lose your funds if the site closes and it's beyond your control in getting your funds offloaded any time soon (or not at all).
  9. As the title says. Thanks.
