Deposited Stars check today

    I withdrew $2k from stars ~1 week before Black Friday. When I got the check I didn't deposit it because I figured it would be pointless since the DOJ froze the accounts. After Stars reached the agreement, I e-mailed them and asked if I should deposit the check or if they could cancel it and return the funds to my poker account. They said I would be fine to deposit the check, so today I did.

    My bank called me about an hour later and left a message to call them back regarding the check I tried to deposit. I wasn't able to get in touch with them today, but I am assuming they are going to tell me the check bounced, or ask what its from. If they say it bounced do I just ask them for the check back? And if they ask what it is from am I probably better off telling them the truth or telling them I don't see how its their job to worry about it?

    Obv I am pretty clueless on the subject and just don't want to be totally lost in responding to whatever they tell me tomorrow.

    if they want to know where its from, tell them politely that you dont want to discuss it and that you will have your lawyer look into it.

    If they say it bounced they will send you a copy of the check in the mail. Scan that and send to pokerstars support and they will refund your account. If they ask you what it is tell them its from an online poker site because your doing nothing illegal.

    if they ask just say it is for some online work that you did. doubt the check will be good tho.

    yeah check is going to bounce bro......i deposited one like 1 week ago that i got out from stars a week prior to black friday and i deposited it showed up in my account until today i got an email saying the money was taking out of my account and but back in my stars account

    arent they still trying to find processors or has that been taken care of? if they dont have nay yet i dont see how it would go thru

    Yeah I didn't really think it made sense that it would work, but stars said to do it so I tried it. Deff didn't have very high expectations though

    Why not just tell them its a poker check and the DOJ has authorized payouts for American customers?

    That is the truth and nothing illegal about it.

    I got a check from them 3 weeks ago and just got an email a couple days ago saying not to cash it that the issuing bank had closed. Would have been nice if they told me that sooner since I already deposited it and yes it bounced about a week ago. WP stars

    They have been communicating alot better than FTP & AP/UB.

    I deposited a check of 2k too and it bounced before black friday.. obv had no idea what was going on and few days later when i hear about what was going on it all made sense.. ask your bank to return the check and send those documents to PS. They will refund that amount plus any fees your bank charged from returning the check to your ps account. Direct bank wire transfer and gg.
