  1. Reading all this makes my situation even odder.

2 weeks after black Friday I used all my fpp points to play 3 mtts. Shipped 3rd place in $69 when thought I was free rolling and would never see any of the $2,000.

Had to deposit $10 from new bank card to even attempt withdraw the money.

One week before the site was taken completely offline they paid me $1.8k.

So if they were operating a semi ponzi scheme and already knew they were going to get charged by doj as they had no out why would they pay out on a late withdrawal.

    Confused.
  2. indeed depressing
  3. Here's our latest update on the FTP situation, focusing on how the Ponzi scheme label has ignited calls for legalized and regulated online poker in the US:

Also, here's an update on the Alderney hearing, which is filled with inside info from a P5s source about what some of the possible outcomes are:

We might not like the law but the Government had the right to enforce it and take legal actions against the companies breaking the law.

The DOJ is not to blame for you not getting your funds back. Its not the DOJ responsibility to ensure you get your funds or that the process's you where using to get your funds illegally still continued to function. The DOJ responsibility to enforce the law, it was FTP responsibility to operate in a professional manner in regards to player funds including refunds.

the law was not quite clear cut...if u believe that poker is not a skill game then yes payment processing was illegal, seems quite odd however that the gov considers fantasy football to be a skill game and therefore banks can process there payments. online lotto is legit too def skill in that. if someone would have simply challenged the skill aspect of poker in a federal court it can easily be determined as a skill game and banks wouldn't be scared to process these transacitons.

  7. Amazing how everyone is blaming FT for this mess. This is all the work of the U.S. govt, they are the reason why our money is gone.

And you if know and understand how the U.S. govt works, what they do when they want to get away with robbing or killing someone is to first try and gain the moral authority. Once they got you with their smoke and mirrors, they are free to do as they wish and then 5-10 later everyone cries about how they got tricked once again.

This process repeats itself again and again. Wars, The Budget Deficits, Change? From your new president, I don't think so. Wise up people.
  8. lol truthers

  9. It is sad but FTP was "Ponzi scheme" from begining and they do that right under our noses and smiles in our faces. Heres is the prove. FTP stands for FUCK THE PLAYERS. So like we all now see it was so simple and so devious.

how anyone can have this opinion?????
Whether you like your govt or not, how are they responsible for our money being gone, they haven't being skimming the money?
Full Tilt were supposed to have over $400m of players funds ring fenced so we can have it back whenever we want..........Fact is the money isn't there.......and hasn't been for a long time - before the DOJ got involved

If the DOJ didn't catch them now, it would have continued and the Hole would have got bigger, more people out of pocket, more $ skimmed off to owners

  14. GREAT NEWS FOR FULL TILT POKER !!!!

I don't believe ANYTHING the government says EVER !!!!!!
  15. So lets join forces and create a reply that we can copy-paste back to our friends.

A bunch of my friends have emailed me with links to the story, i guess they dont know that this is old news in the poker world.
  16. Can someone explain why these MF's haven't been arrested yet or at least why warrants haven't been announced. Ponzi scheme or not....the F'rs stole a ton of money from all of us and they need to be aprehended immediately!!! Time just gives them more time to hide our funds. I hope the DOJ is on top of this and just keeping it on the down low.
  17. Civil. Not criminal
  18. Are there any new updates on the FTP hearing mods?

  19. I find it hard to believe that poker players are showing up to play and support the epic poker league which is run by Howards sister. Wouldn't it be easy to assume that he has his hand in that league as well? I'm not sure what it took to get that league going, but maybe Howard funded it with the missing loot from full tilt? I could be way off, just a thought. Still, if I had a significant amount of money locked up on full tilt, the last tournament i'd ever play would be one run by Howard's sister. Has there been any confrontations with annie at one of these tourneys yet, or not?

Annie was one of the HUGEST UB schills, but somehow UB/Absolute stays out of the news. I would love to see her dragged through the mud or the stuff she was saying in the past about UB. Seems a bit hypocritical in a way that her league bans her brother because of FTP, but she is in the clear about UB when there is a good chance she knew about the shadyness going on there.

But Howard was an owner of FTP and one of the 4 people that made decisions at the company... Annie was just a paid face at UB, from what I understand. There is a huge difference here.

  22. very true wacky, never even thought about that. I think it would be a good idea for poker players to stand up and boycott the epic poker league and force Annie to take a stand against her brother. You're either with him or against him.....and if she's with him, there is no way in hell poker players should continue to play in her league. Just my opinion though. I'm not going to be buying into their 20k event anyway, but I had thought about playing some of the $1500 sattys and such to try and get in that way. Not anymore though, shits got way out of control.

Definitely agree there is a difference. I am going to quote a couple of Annie's posts though. She went beyond just a face of the company and tried to convince people UB was "now" ethical after the super user scandal. She went beyond just wearing the patch of UB in my opinion, and the same can be said of Joe Sebok (if not more so).

I could walk away to another site and get paid by them. As I was making my decision I knew I could walk away, indignant, go to another site and get paid what I was paid by UB. I made my decision without benefit of ownership or upside in the health of the company. Even so, even if I did own a piece of the company, I would have walked away if I felt this was being handled in an unethical way (but again that is hypothetical and I don't expect you to believe me there). The facts are the facts, I made my decision as a salaried employee with no ownership benefit whatsoever. I could have gone and gotten another salary from another site instead of sticking up for this brand. And frankly that would have been the easier choice.

As for where was I last week during all the evidence being released I stated that I felt it was not my place to comment on something the company had not commented on yet and I certainly don't think it is my place to confirm or deny the indentity of the cheater.

Also, the legal pursuits of UB as to the cheater are very real and everyone has to be very careful about what we say at this point in time. Its really important that any new information comes from the executive team in order to not jeopardize any legal recourse.

I love this brand and I would not have gotten involved to the level I have if I were not satisfied with the way the investigation is being conducted. I am really please with the change in UB. The new management is awesome. They have tremendouse integrity. They inherited the investigation and have been doing a great job with the burden of that, IMO. Take that for what you will.

    I am done commenting now.

Yeah, the DOJ are the real heroes here. They dont want any piece of FTPs money for themselfs. No, not at all...
    Fucking greedy govt.

Oh Annie. We all knew u lied.
  25. My problem with Annie was not that she was just a paid ambassador of UB, but that it came out that she went to Russ and asked for a loan so she could buy her dream house. Russ helped her out and when the SH*T hit the fan, she apparently told him she wasn't going to pay back that loan. Apparently she felt that if the money she borrows was ill-gotten or somehow not on the up an up, then she wasn't really obligated to pay it back. I'm not sure if she ever did pay back the loan, but this type of "Ethics" really speaks volume. I mean why did she stay with UB/AP as long as she did? I think this loan had something to do with her reasoning.

Bottom line she is as scummy as her brother is. It runs in the family.

The reason why the U.S. govt is to blame is because they are the ones that created most of the shortfall of funds in FTP. It got to the point where it was costing FTP upwards of 25%+ per transaction to process deposits. They were shutting down bank accounts left and right that created the disruptions in FTP's cash flow. The credit card transactions had high fees and high chargebacks.

On one hand you had U.S. congressman saying poker is legal for players to play and on the other hand you have this cryptic UIGEA bill blocking deposits to online gaming. This is what created this game of cat and mouse in the online gaming industry.

Poker is an all-American game, and its a game that requires strategy and skill. Millions of Americans play poker online. Although its legal to play for money, its illegal to process the transactions that allow players to collect their earnings, said Rep. Barton
