  1. Ok, i'm guessing even if things go well its unlikely FTPs tables will be open on Tuesday? So whats the best outcome we can hope for on monday...realistically?

and whats the most likely outcome of it going to be - another adjournment? or gg full tilt?
  2. I see it just getting postponed again. then we wait another couple months. FT releases statements that doesn't answer any of the questions people want to know. They will probably drag it on until they can't anymore.

I remain optimistic about getting paid but i don't think FTP is going to come back from this.
  3. this story is so old and withered. no one shud even utter the words full tilt poker until they declare an official statement AFTER the hearing, until then... im over it
  4. All we can do is speculate. Who the hell knows. FTP has been incredibly secretive and non communicative since BF. And now Alderney is catering to them by allowing this entire process to unfold without any kind of transparency.

So, in reality, who really knows what Alderney is charging them with and what sort of punitive actions they are considering. To say what is/will happen is simply an uninformed guess.

Only one things is relatively certain at this juncture-Americans are unlikely to ever see a dime from this POS company.
  5. I have my fingers crossed that Monday will be a good day for Full Tilt.

Using my one time once again. Please be a buyer or let them operate again.

    0% for either
  8. Def > 0% on letting them operate again. They paid their licensing fee, which might have been part of the problem to begin with.
  9. I really fear that if they continue the staus quo, that will really be the final nail in the coffin. They either need the license reinstated or some framework that allows them to work back towards gaining their license, or some probationary license. Something to show there is at least some faint hope that ftp can operate a profitable and honest business at some point in the future. Sigh.

Ill never say one time again, I swear!
  11. Not trying to be a downer, but for the US players, what really are you expecting/hoping will come out of this hearing that will be good/positive news for the US?

Do you really expect that suddenly the money will be there to pay us? How? From who/where?

It's pretty clear that as this thing has dragged out that the site has major problems and that all of the reportedly 7 or so investment groups/buyers have decided to pass.

IMO the very best outcome is that Alderney reinstates their license and they're allowed to operate again. And tbh, I think they're an underdog to even reopen. But, even if they do, that really does nothing, or very little, to help us.

That's what we're hoping for. Don't see why you don't think that would help us.

  14. lol ftp starts operations.....................................i can only imagine the 1st person too log in.....................wow wtf where is everybody..........its a buyer beware and i think without usa peeps or ability to ever enter a usa regulated market,an investor might find it better too start another damn site and try too purchase the ftp software instead...the name is garbage YOU CANNOT BUY THE SITE BECAUSE JUST THE NAME ALONE IS BAD NEWS

Um, rake? Not to mention investors are more likely to bite when they know the site is cleared to run.

But who knows how much they'll be able to rake in the first place. Will ppl still trust their brand? To what extent will they actually be able bring back former customers/players and attract new ones? I sure as hell wouldn't play there again.

And they can say all they want that reimbursing US players is their top priority, but I don't believe it for a minute. I mean are we really supposed to believe that they're going to break their necks trying to cashout ppl who likely will never play there again? Wouldn't you think that they'd first try and make their current customers happy, considering that most of those ppl have lots of other options?

And lol @ the investors. Hi, would you like to buy a company with a horrible industry reputation and long history of not communicating with its customers? Oh, and btw, the first thing you'll need to do is payout $150MM (or more) to our old customers, who you'll never have a chance to do business with again. Just sign here.

C'mon guys. Get real. The dye is cast.

Generally agree that the outlook is bleak, but anything positive is a step in the right direction.

There is also some value somewhere in the FTP hierarchy of companies. The software was one of the best in the industry. They also have patents pending on Rush. I don't know the value of either of those, but they are definitely above $0.

In addition, I would play on FTP in a heartbeat if management were replaced and other steps taken to guarantee and segregate player funds. If the right steps were taken, FTP could reopen and return to being a top 3 site. There's value in FTP for outside investors -- it's just a matter of how to deal with the huge US problem. Unfortunately, that problem may be so large as to foreclose any potential deals, but hopefully not.

Granted that the software and Rush may be worth something but it ain't enough to bail them out.

The problem with playing there again harkens back to UB. They supposedly got all new owners/mgmt but the company/product never improved.

None of these companies wanna be transparent. We can't even tell who's involved now so how can we be sure that whoever is involved in the future really wasn't part of the problem in the past? We just don't know. They would have to do ALOT to prove to me that every bit of scum and incompetency has been wiped clean before I'd ever go back there.

but like i said, Americans will never have to worry about making that evaluation.
  19. First off grinder I believe there is a very good chance they will be able to do business again with the U.S. assuming they are under new ownership, possibly by allowing an US only skin maybe tied to a casino. In the mean time there software is superior and ROW would still play there albeit in lower numbers until US legislation is passed allowing online play. I agree they are going to want to take care of people that are still allowed to play there first, but if they do a satisfactory job at this it should restore some brand confidence. As far as attracting new clients a simple name change will be enough to attract the average fish who doesn't troll forums and even know the site was once tilt.

Now i have no idea how much money the current owners do have liquid, but if it is remotely close to what the ROW is owed then i wouldn't look at the 150mil owed to the US as the new owners paying these players, but rather as the price the company sells for and the previous owners are the ones reimbursing us. I'd liken it to the new owner of the chicago cubs. he purchased the team for more than it was technically worth because he was optimistic about future profits.

sooo give this worthless company your money so that they can pay you with it?? unbelievable that anyone would do anything other than cash out immediately and uninstall if theyre allowed to run again.

  21. Not a worthless company imo. They were the 2nd largest poker site pre black friday and if they get their licensed back they will more then likely be the 2nd largest poker site once again. The online poker rooms at the moment are a joke and there quite frankly isn't much competition out there. With Full Tilts great software and layout there will be people who will go back to Full Tilt once they get everything straightened out. If they do reopen it will also look good to investors once Full Tilt has their license and they are open back to the international players.

no wonder companies act like they do, people like you forgive and forget and will be waiting with your wallet open.

  23. I don't necessarily think that there is a strong likelihood of getting repaid, but clearly if the AGC reinstates the license, that is +EV compared to the status quo. It wouldn't be cause to start treating our ftp funds like money in the bank, but it would reason for some optimism.

What does this even mean? I just want to play on a site that has great software and tourneys. Making money and feeling comfortable playing is important to me. All the other online sites are no good compared to Poker stars and Full Tilt. If there were better options out there then I would play on other sites but there isn't any other options. Hopefully in the future there will be some great online poker sites that can compete with Poker Stars.

  25. damn can we just get it regulated,if this does happen we might be staring at some really ugly poker sites, and we will be laughed at , when we post on p5's about our state run, rake raping, 50 max gtd's, we will so need state's too stay out of this let it be privately ran, shout out too david jung too go for a license

  26. is there any news?
  27. its on monday and its private.
  28. It's supposed to be on the 19th of September which is tomorrow. Hope all turns out well and people get at least some of their money back. If they manage to make their way to the top again, I will still not play there again. Hard to gain trust when it was already lost once. I prefer Rakeback poker nowadays anyway...you'd be surprised how much you can save on not paying rake. I also like the play casino lotteries...I guessed three numbers correctly but made my bets in the wrong game! bummer...going to try that again though
  29. Anyone know what time the hearing starts on monday??

  30. I'm so sick of seeing "new updates" for this bullshit scam of a site called FTP.
