Whoever plays there again after all has to be nuts! if they lose their money again, it would be the player's fault this time...as they say, "fool me once- shame on you, fool me twice-shame on me". I can't get my head wrapped around why people are so stubborn in regards to playing on the popular sites...as we have witness they aren't any more "secure" and "safe" as others. There are fish in the rakefree sites...you save so much money by not playing rake...yet not many people play--we need more people to join the rakefree poker rooms

I can make more money on other sites because people do play there and because they offer games other than NLHE. It doesn't help me if its rake free and I can put in volume at mid stakes in cash games. In fact, to play on French sites, I am willing to pay more rake than normal. pokerstars.fr is a good example of that where you get to play with 98% french players as long as you have an European bank account and I don't mind paying extra rake for the privledge to do so.

I know I would be taking a calculated risk, and if FTP's new management takes the right steps, makes them into a top 5 site again, pays back its customers, I am thinking of my bottom line and would risk a certain amount. I wouldn't go crying about the money lost, however. On this point you are correct if the same shit happened, but as a poker player, I am willing to take some calculated risks to play on a site that was hugely +EV for me in the past because of the cash games offerred and the volume available.

  3. i dont understand why people think that when investors come into FTP it is going to be run in the same mannor as before black friday. come on use some sense, all this shit happened the new investors are obviously going to be aware they have to make changes, most importantly putting our balances in seperate accounts.

if anything FTP will be the safest place to hold out $$$ on as they will be the last company who wish to slip up again.

I agree with you to keep an open mind with new investors just because the site was so good pre black friday in terms of what was offerred and for non-US people payouts. Unfortunately, AP & UB proved they were the same old shitty way after their scandals with new management which is one reason why people might be jaded as to how FTP might be run with new ownership as well.
  5. All your waitings to make a profit will turn into rake.

Not exactly waiting, and if I can make more profit per table and load more cash tables on a rake site that has good action and prompt payouts, I am not sure I understand your point. I don't mind varoius sites to make a few bucks off me if I am able to generate money.

If there was such a thing as a rakefree site that offered good cash games and quick payouts, I would gladly consider them assuming my win rate was as high as on other sites. Whenever I have checked one out out of curiosity, there has been no games I am interested offered.

I just wonder if that's a good thing, if the doj is taking it to pay back players then good. But if they're just doing it to get even more money and keep it that's got to be bad. I don't give a shit what happens to bitar, HL, CF ect... i just want to get paid
  11. Wonder how likely they are to get the funds from the Swiss account and the one on Isle of Man. I guess they got the account info from the tax returns.
  12. I havnt heard anything in a while, is fulltilt done? or are we still waiting for a statement from them or the AGCC?
  13. Was away for the week-end and it seems to be some like a "no news world" out there..

Alot of people stayed away. If FTP comes back under new ownership, I know I will be playing at my own risk. UB had schills like Joe Sebok and Annie Duke saying how great new management was and its a whole new company we should trust. Somehow Annie's reputation didn't take a dive from her promoting UB like she did.
