  1. If it's been explained or at least discussed in a somewhat knowledgeable manner I must have missed it and I apologize...but really what are they doing? I mean it's kinda funny really in a world where Online Poker just got punked out about as hard as it could, leave it to UB to just say fuck it we're goin down the hard way...I can't hate them for it.

  2. Must admit its strange. I can almost see them just closing up shop in X amount of months and liquidating. . .
I wont be playing there again.

This. Based on their history, I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a cash grab.

Agree. After all, its not like they are regulated or anything. . .

  5. Current users can still play but you can't redownload or become a new user from the US market. Which sucks cause my laptop took a shit so I had to reload it and now can't download the software to at least play the money I have there.
  6. i think mac users are done on cereus too
  7. That is interesting, had not heard that yet. The govt. is still wanting $500m from them though, which that article does not mention.

I was able to redownload from UBNET.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or ignorant...

  9. I was being sarcastic. The Kahnawake outfit has the most lax rules going. Isle of Man commission on the other hand is a lot more strict.

  10. lol I just got my rakeback payment too. What do i do with this? donk it off?

Either donk it off, build it up, or hold onto it hoping one day in the future you will have access to your money.
  12. I was able to reload it from the UK site... easy to find through google... playing along... fields are ridiculously easy night now...the real question will be will I ever see a cent of the money that I am making right now... don't want to think about it really... going to load carbon and lock poker soon.
  13. its because they have no business ethics, this is the reason why the gov't is shutting them down..

What idiots would stay open after the FBI and DOJ gets in the wya, I hope they all go to jail forever..

Then they get a cell mate called Big bubba

I would argue that they have more "ethics" than most businesses. They have been willing to risk the wrath of the US government in order to provide us a service that we all want. They are true patriots in the classic sense of the word.

You do realize this is UB we're talking about, lol. I mean come on...patriot? Lol

  16. I was also able to redownload through the UK site. Is it a bad idea to play on there? I just got my rackback and figured I would try and download and it worked. Once again is this a bad idea to play?
  17. So over the "should I play?!?!?" posts on here and 2+. Knock yourself out ffs. You can't cashout/transfer ATM. That's really all there is to it. No one is going to post super secret information no one else has. If you're just looking for someone to give you the go ahead to play, here it is. GL.

And on this same note I'll go ahead and multi-rant about the "just cashed out, processing now" breaking news updates too. No one can cashout from the US and your request will be declined. Shut the fuck up.

  18. Thanks dude

Be positive idiot. This isn't a time for everyone to flame everybody for every misstep or repetitive post. People have lost their jobs, their money and for many it's both. Their scared and are just looking for answers and not everyone keeps up with the forum on a daily, hourly, minute to minute basis so they don't know for sure what has been repeated a million times or never been asked. Be fuckin patient with people. Bad beats and losing sessions are nothing compared to what poker players are facing right now, and let's face it most of us as professionals have never really known truly hard times. But this is real life shit and their is a varying degree of fear and confusion for everyone. On the poker field be as ruthless as you want but in this communtiy of poker players be a team player, not a douche.

I would argue that they are stupid and/or greedy and their motivations to keep the site running have absolutely nothing to do with protecting our freedom and being "true patriots". Warning: I may have been leveled, as I can't see any reasonable person actually call the people at UB patriots.

  22. anyone know how US players can get a UB hat right now?

You don't need to explain the situation to me and how this is affecting poker players.

I fail to see how anyone would need to keep up with the forum on an hourly or minute to minute basis to know what's going on. Pretty much every thread about the topic is cluttered with posts such as the one I quoted and it's annoying to those of us who are actually trying to get any new information which may come available.

hockey bore the brunt of my building frustration over these posts that began Friday and have seemed non-stop since. That probably wasn't fair to him and I apologize to him for that, but shrug, I guess a breaking point had to be reached somewhere and he just happened to be the random internet forum poster that I unloaded on. No ill will intended. I'm really a nice guy! I would hug him if he were here and I'd slap you high fives all night, even though you called me an idiot. :(

Fair enough. On friday I lost my job and most all of my money. I had just recently had a plan to put more money on all three sites so that I could have great table select options for cash games at any time of the day. Great timing huh. Had two checks on the way before it all went down but their gone I assume. It's my fault for leaving myself so badly off as far as on hand cash is concerned, but I guess it's left me more sensitive then most when it comes to all of this. So that's why I commented in that manner, and my comment like yours wasn't really only at one person it was at the many people who are so quick to attack people for simply trying to figure things out. For anyone that left themselves too vulnerable this is a very very bad time and i'm not sure the entire scope of that has been realized yet by some who simply lost a decent roll. It's all good though between us.

  28. I feel ya playa. I've been doing this for 6 years now and I have a wife and 3 kids depending on me. Everyone's tense. I too have checks on the way I may or may not end up wiping my ass with. Here's to regulated US online poker. <cheers>

  29. legitimate reason (i think): the people who got in trouble from UB are not the people currently in charge. UB/AP don't care about what happens to scott tom. they care about continuing to make money. they lost some processors, but probably have others and are willing to take the risk to become the top dog in the american market (for now).

I have also heard that AP/UB is only being charged with violating the UIGEA wire act. They are not being charged with the laundering and fraud. Because of this, maybe they believe they will be able to prove the poker isn't classified under the "gambling" that the wire act prohibited. From what I have heard this is where the poker sites would like to start their defense.
