"Has anyone ever received an email like this while trying to cashout from pokerstars"
Edited By: Fishnetgir1 Mar 10th, 2011 at 05:55 PM
Hello Player,
After a routine review of your latest cashout in the amount of x$, it
has come to our attention that most of the funds that you cashed out came
directly from a transfer received from the player 'xxxx'.
Our transfer tool is only meant to help players fund their accounts when
they are unable to deposit with deposit options currently available to them.
All funds added to your account via transfer must be used to play at our
tables.
We are restricted by our license agreement in the Isle of Man and this
prevents us from being able to offer a real money transfer service for the
purpose of cashing out.
In this case, your cashout has been cancelled and funds have been returned
to your account balance. You are welcome to play with the funds or to return
it back to the sender.
You should use a money transferring service outside of PokerStars for
transfers which are not meant to be played at our tables.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Regards,
GusM
PokerStars Security Team
Is this fairly new? I'm positive that I've received funds before and insta cashed them out without playing with them first. -

Yea... I perfectly understand their reasoning.... -
probably something to do with money laundering?
-
This is the reason they do not allow. Cereus and Cake also do not allow you to cash out off of transfers.
-
sit at a $.25/.50 limit table with whole roll for an hour

You won't ever be able to cash out the amount you got transferred. If you get 5k transferred you will only be able to cash out monies made ontop. Sooo if you win 100 bucks leaving you with 5100 bucks you can withdraw 100 bucks.

So no matter what I'll never be able to get the 5k no matter how long I'm grinding? Is that what you're saying? -

Any you know this from experience? Because you are completely wrong. There is a set number of FPP's you must earn before you are aloud(i know allowed) to cash out any transfer. stars doesn't give a fuck about what you cash out they just want to cover their own ass and not get caught up in money laundering.
Don't listen to his shenanigans. Play with the money, earn your FPP's and cash out.Originally Posted by Fishnetgir1

A thread the other day talked about this exact thing. 6500. Told he will always have 6500 in his account unless he loses it. End thread bitches.
-
If this was the case then many people would have 100k in monies they couldnt cash out from their horses and site to site trades.
-
Your gonna take the advice of a man that says your "aloud" to cash out. I would go with the experienced people telling you what you're allowed to do.
-
haha wasn't paying attention and trying to do 8 things at once. i know how to spell allowed. and by reading another thread doesn't make you experienced but recieving transfers and then cashing out said money does make me experienced IMO. aloud or not ;)

I used to have this problem when I would try to cash out transfers made from P5s for the articles I write, or when my backer tries sending me $ to cash out for a live mtt buy-in. I've found it easiest to just cash out on FTP if they send stars, or have them send FTP and cash out from Stars and then wait a little bit before doing a swap to even my accounts again. Not sure if this helps but it's the only runaround I know of besides grinding out FPPs.
-
There is a set amount of FPPs that you have to earn depending on the size of the transfer before you can cash it out but after that you can do whatever you want with it.

Hookers. Now accepting payment on all popular poker sites.

So ridiculous. Like someone else said if it is money laundering earning a few fpp and then cashing out does not change that in any way. It is still money laundering. These sites have us all by the balls and there is nothing we can do about it. Hey you can't cash that money out but you can give it to us in rake. What a joke
-
Had this happen to me...just cash out a little 25-30% of it at a time.

Not everyone has cash when they need it. -
Can I write an article too?
-
This is not true, there is a fpp requirement for cashout on a transfer. If you ask stars what it is, they will tell you.

they do this bc they can... I doubt PS cares about your bills or strip club money

Figured I'd let anyone who's interested know that I sat at 25/50c FL for 30mins or so and was able to withdraw all that was in play once I stood up.
