stars it seems to me will pay everyone. Besides replying to emails and usually having a good support system, they are also just so big, they get $1.3 mil to the sunday million (downgraded from 1.5mil) WITHOUT the US....
However, FT is a different story. They are much more effected by the US lockout then stars. In addition, they ALWAYS had shitty customer service and non-existant support. I am wondering if there has been a class action or an individual lawsuit to get the money back filed anywhere yet?
Also, I am curious if their red pros or sponsored US players (ie Dwan, Ivey) got their money out or will get ANY sort of preferential treatment, as this would also be cause for a lawsuit. -
is standing the legal term? think all US players lack the standing to sue. googled it, not sure its right word. but suit would have to be filed where they are HQ'd and subject their corrupt ass systems.

Pretty sure FTP would have to be properly licensed to do business in the US in order to be sued here, and that if a U.S. player wanted to sue, they would have to sue where the business is HQ'd. Are you saying you can walk down to your local U.S. courthouse and sue a foreign company? more info please....

That said, you are wrong. Full Tilt has already been sued in America.
Furthermore, it's common for business entities to be sued in foreign countries, often where laws are tighter and judgments are easier to win. Enforcement is something different, however.
Also, I'm sure Full Tilt has limited assets in the USA. For that reason, it seems that a lawsuit of this nature could easily reach class action status. -
lol... ftps not responding to my emails, should i sue?
hooray america. -
FT was shut down in USA by USA DOJ. If you do business in a state, you can be sued IN THAT STATE. if you do business in a country, you can be sued IN THAT COUNTRY.
FT definitely does business in 49 states (or did) and definitely did business in the US.
they 100% can be sued.
i am just curious if is has been done yet. Obviously it makes more sense to not force their hands and to ait on our money, but it is obvious based on stars starting payouts TODAY, that it is POSSIBLE and my concern is FT is not payign out for some reason....either they didnt segregate the money like Stars did, or they want to give preferential treatment to their pros, or they want to hold it hostage to force a better settlement from DOJ. -
Or...wait for it, because this is a groudbreaking revelation...... maybe Stars has a better operation than FTP.

Why are people so retarded. It's still only been one week. Have some fucking patience and everyone stop assuming there is some conspiracy to steal your money. -

^THIS for the love of God. Good to see someone with common sense posting. The amount of idiotic posts on this site in the last week has really hit epic proportions.

Big Riskky posted on P5s when he was in Canada asking for advice. So it doesn't look like red pros are getting special privileges. Ivey might be different since think he is part owner, but I could be wrong there.

red pros aren't... but Team Full Tilt has to be, right? Besides, I'm sure Ivey is smart enough to spread his money around. You don't amass that much liquidity without learning a thing or two about storing money. I personally prefer Nike shoeboxes.

But have they been sued successfully?

Nope, but the point is that they can be sued in US courts. Just because one lawsuit was frivolous doesn't mean every lawsuit to follow is also frivolous. Note, I doubt I'd be able to successfully sue as I reside in Washington. Don't care though, I'm not looking to sue over this. I wore the Free Yayo T-shirt, the Free Pimp C shirt, the Free Weezy shirt, and I'm going to wear the Free Ray Bitar shirt now.
