Jeff - thank you for promptly posting hopefully a fair resolution to this matter. All major sites have had problems at one time or another with servers or connectivity. Hopefully this bump in the road, will help you make the site stronger.

HWP[/externalurl] Greg;6825303]First let me say we apologize for the server crash last night. I know how frustrating it can be when these things happen, and we're taking steps to minimize the chances of it happening again.
We've scheduled a makeup game Thursday at 9 ET. In addition, we'll give everyone who was in the game 10k Hogbucks (it may take 24 hours to update in your account).
I also wanted to share with you a note from our CEO, Jeff Amrein:
To HogWild players affected by server issues Tuesday night:
We are very sorry for the server issue last night, and we will do everything we can to clean it up quickly. The system was back up at around 4 am, but I want to take a moment to let you know what happened.
For the more technical people on HogWild, our main database drive array failed on the Amazon Cloud system. For the non-technical people, that means the thingy with all the information on that is not supposed to fail....failed. We'll be working with Amazon today to figure out another level of redundancy so this problem doesn't happen again.
League Administrators - If you see anything that does not look right, please email Support@HogWildPokerLeagues.com and we will fix it. Please put “League” in the subject so we will know your issue is for a League.
Players - If you see anything that does not look right, don't worry, we will fix it. Please send any information you can to Support@HogWildPokerLeagues.com. Place “Urgent” in the subject if the matter is keeping you from playing a game today.
Players in the Staking Series Bonus Game - The game that eventually started did not count, and the scores will be rescinded. If you stayed up and won HogBucks in that game, you get to keep them. Everyone will have their HogBucks refunded, but it might take up to 24 hours.
Thanks for your patience while we continue to grow.
Sincerely,
Jeff (Halfboat Jeff), CEO -

Thanks for the generosity re: HogBucks and for holding a makeup game.
HWP will also be e-mailing everyone in the PocketFives League about the makeup game, so it should be a good solution. The PocketFives League will then continue on Tuesday, April 10th, 17th, and 24th. -
From G2thV:
"Cool, thanks. Results were posted on the HWP site for last nights P5 game. Will those those count?"
Those results will not count towards the April league totals. We'll adjust them in the next day or so. -
I just wanted to say thanks for the quick and thorough responses. Technical difficulties always suck, but nice to see you handling them in a timely and professional manner.
-
YES HE DID, I WAS ON THE TABLE ! I was 7, 8 or 9.
Thanks Greg, now get some sleep! See you Thursday night. -
Thanks guys. Hogbucks received and looking forward to the makeup game.

Can someone explain the hogwild league in english where normal people can understand, thanks

The league is confusing at hogwild. Tonights event was #2 of 4 We are playing for prizes, top two get sony vitas and I think top 5 or 6 get p5 swag.

Thanks for the question ttwarrior1. HogWild was developed around the concept that poker played in a league or series will minimize the element of luck in any group of players. So we've built several programs based on that premise, including the Staking Series, the Top Hog, the PocketFives League and others. Some of these programs track with points, while others compare all the players' best scores to determine who has demonstrated the most skill over several games.
We admit it's a different concept than other poker sites, and we're exploring ways to to improve the experience. If you've got any suggestions, it's a great time to let us know your thoughts. -
Sitting at GS in Tunica waiting for Tourny to start. HWP is confusing I believe. There is so much going on and so many different web sites that are not linked up well. I am sure it is available, but tourney and league explanations are not easliy found. And redundancy of info also contributes. One suggestion I would start with, offer only ONE tourney listing and highlight the league games for that user. And a refresh click would be useful. It would be nice if in the same box that you sign up for a game there could be a link to an explanation of that tourneys rules and what exactly your playing for. I'm sure regs are going to say all that is available, but I don't think it is easy to find for new players. The whole thing is very different from other sites, which is not a bad thing! I also would like to see late registration for some of the larger tourneys. I am starting to enjoy playing there, I just wish I had a better idea what I am playing for.
Just suggestions. -
This month's P5 League prize pool is:
1st Place: PlayStation Vita WiFi
2nd Place: PlayStation Vita WiFi
3rd Place: PocketFives Gear + 25,000 HogBucks
4th Place: PocketFives Gear + 25,000 HogBucks
5th Place: PockeFives Gear + 25,000 HogBucks
6th Place: 25,000 HogBucks
7th Place: 25,000 HogBucks
8th Place: 25,000 HogBucks
9th Place: 25,000 HogBucks
10th Place: 25,000 HogBucks
The HogBucks are for use in Prop Bets, Open Tables and Bonus Games in the Staking Series.
Thanks for the suggestions G2thV, I agree with you about having a link/box that gave info about each league. Late registrations are something we've kicked around for a couple years, but we don't see it as a priority right now - especially when most of our games are available for registration weeks in advance. But we haven't ruled it out.
I'm not sure what you mean by "offer only ONE tourney listing and highlight the league games for that user." Do you mean list only the next upcoming game? -
Is there a league thread somewhere?
-
As a special bonus, we're adding a 32" HDTV to the free P5s League game on April 24th. Details are here:
http://www.pocketfives.com/articles/...e-game-587324/
This should be a winner and we're excited to be able to add this prize thanks to HogWild Poker. The only way into the league, and to get a crack at the TV, is to sign up through PocketFives:

USA players are welcome. -
I signed up and registered, but have no clue how to find this specific tourny for Tuesday?

couple of flaws i'd like to point out
Edited By: double_kyan Apr 23rd, 2012 at 09:46 PM
one is that we had a staller at the table yestrdy which is fine i dont disrespect any1's choice of action
but the problem is that u have 2 clocks, and the staller is able to use both clocks completely each time
the 2 nd clock should be a one time usage of each second imo or just have 1 big long clock
also i noticed that for example: i intentionally limped from the button hoping the sb would join and the bb would shove
so i can shove and iso this play but i shouldnt of been able to do this, due to the fact i limped for 8k and bb shoved for like 9500 i should have only been able to call, but it was an advantage i had seen and i did use it as a weapon by eliminating the sb,however if i was the sb i wouldve been in shock seeing the button ability to still have action on the pf
oh and 1 more, it would be nice to have those pay out charts fixed its always saying zero on the payout,i think u can simply put an H as a replacement for $ when its hoggy bux payouts only, this would be much better thn just seeing zeroes all the time on the screen, yesterday was the $200 freeroll and it didnt even list the money payouts
just putting in my obvservations, thnx
oh and another huge one i have, its to easy to x out of the site and/or the table [misclicks happen] maybe a window sayn are u sure u want to leave HogWild Poker, i have done this a few times and its such a bummer and pain in the butt to be x'd out so ez during action -
Ya, those are all great points.
Also, has anybody been able to find a lobby with a full list of the players left and stacks? -
I registered on HWP yesterday and was wondering when the event is tomorrow?
Edited By: agilles Apr 24th, 2012 at 06:11 AM
Also, how do you register for it? Lobby is really hard to find anything... -
I'm registered to play this mtt tom, Will it pop up at 9pm eastern time or will I have to hit the play btn? Exited to play a p5 mtt. Also wondering do I need a code or to join a group or anything?
Thnx,
Nick. -
Here's what I've found while playing on HogWild Poker. When you first log in if you click on tournaments and leagues button it will bring up a list of tournaments. There is a search feature where you can type in your league name and it will list out the tournaments for you, from there you can click register. 2 minutes before the tournament starts a reminder(bell sound) window will pop up in the main lobby, if you click play it will take you to tournament lobby and will seat you when the tournament starts. When you're at the table playing you will notice a top 15 leader board, and there is also a hyperlink, view all, that if you click will bring up a searchable feature for all the players registered in that tournament. If your not seeing the pop up windows check to make sure you aren't blocking them for hogwildpokerleagues.com.

double_kyan, thanks for the comments. We may change the clock at some point this year, your point is well taken. And I also agree with you on the payout charts, we'll just need to program that differently since it's automated. But we have talked about how we would lay it out, and what you said makes sense.
xxbossmanxx - We don't display a list of players still in a game with stack amounts outside of the game player. You have to enter the game player to see the leaderboard.
agilles - the game is 9 ET Tuesday night. If you look down the left side under "my leagues" click the PocketFives league and go to "League Menu" and go to "Game Schedule." You can register for the games there. Also, it should pop up on the right column under "Your Games (All Leagues)" Good luck tonight
TrueMetalMan - Thanks for signing up. It should pop up, but a few minutes before 9 look down the right hand side under "Your Games (All Leagues)" and click play. I double-checked, and you are definitely registered. Good luck -

You guys working on making hand histories available? I always like to take a tournament and through it in poker stove. What about hand replayer for in game? -
also HWP greg ...............probably the biggest problem is that when people pre register for mtt's .
they expect it to pop up when its game time, instead we get a beeping [not always on pc to hear this]
we're expected to keep track of time and click one button to get going than click play to play
this is actually 3x a person is required to click a button to enter the actual tournament,i understand why u kick people off after a couple of rounds but, if it was a one time click to enter experience there would be less people getting kickd off the tables for sure -
Getting a could not connect error and am not able to access the site? I uninstalled and reinstalled Hog Wild Poker and same thing is happening? Is the site down?
