    10th Place: 25,000 Hog Bucks

We'll also be awarding an HDTV as part of a special tournament on Tuesday, May 29th. The tournament won't count toward the May league standings; rather, it will be a special event that ships an HDTV to the winner.

Try e-mailing HWP support. They're normally pretty attentive.

  5. So while I understand that while this site is still relatively new, and a free site, I have to complain about tonight's monthly freeroll. While in previous levels the ante had been ~10% of the small blind, at the 7500/15000 level the ante was 1500, the same as the small blind. As the largest stack in the tournament at this point wasn't even 20 big blinds, this was pretty devastating to most stacks. It's terribly frustrating to have played all month to qualify for this tournament, make a good run in this tournament, have a decent stack, and get it anted away over the course of a level. This was after getting heads up in a different tournament earlier in the day and in the last level, the small and big blinds were equal, and neither of us was given an option to act before the flop. I started playing here on recommendation from P5s and to play in the P5s league, but issues like this definitely don't lead me to want to play here another month just to get screwed again.
  6. I am confused by what you are saying 1500ante/15000BB is still 10% and 1500ante<7500sb.
  7. MomentumDeferred, sorry for the glitch in the ante structure last night, we are looking into it.

  8. My apologies, the ante was 7500 at the 7500/15000.
  9. Is there a promo code I can use when I sign up?
  10. Greg or Dan, I can not get my HWP profile page to accept my PPA ID number, "can not viladate" . I've tried several times with the number PPA sent me.

I want those bucks! Can you check it out?
    Thanks

  13. There was an error in the template, we changed it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We post the structures to every game many weeks in advance, so I encourage you to check them out beforehand & let me know if you see something unusual like that in the future.

Hey G2thV I've got a tech looking into it, I'll make sure you get them.

  14. I checked out this site, it has so many flaws I wouldn't even know where to start. Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my life, maybe you can reimburse me for my aggravation in "hogbucks" lol.
  15. G2thV,

Please send your 15 digit PPA number to support@hogwildpokerleagues.com and we will enter it for you. It is important that you copy/paste the number straight from the PPA email. Their membership numbers are very complicated.

    Best regards,

    Jeff (Halfboat Jeff)
  16. I've checked out HWP for about 3 months now. I also play merge, cake & others. There are some glitches, sure. But I've played a lot of games there now and my overall impression is very favorable. HWP is very different from other poker sites and has so much going on, it has to be a mess to keep up with. And as you can see here, if you have a problem (or even think you do) you get help quickly from multiple sources! What do you get in the merge thread? Don't know how long you checked HWP out, but I believe anyone playing OL in the US ought to be playing some here, give your self time to get used to it. And if you wonder about the level of play, throw 2 to 5k Hog Bucks in the staking series, or play the P5s, see how far you get!

OR continue to mix it up with all the staked/comped players on merge. LOL

Thanks Greg, Jeff and Dan. I got drilled yesterday so I can use the points. And I love to get in the prop bets! Now can you do something about those river cards! (just kidding)
  17. Theres a crew on the BSO(Blue Shark Optics) team that are legit. The HogWild Poker product is well thought out product, and I would recommend to anyone who misses pre black Friday play and who doesn't want to risk playing on real money site like Merge. Can I use my one time to have many FTs in the staking series? A 13k ME package for free, what's not to love about that.

  18. Hey there.

Sooo I tried to install HWP on my mac book.. and it says it cannot run on my version of OS X.
I have 10.5.8, and I could have sworn i read that it works with 10.5 and later...

    Did something change?

    thanks!
  19. Installing HWP on a Mac with an older Operating System (before 10.6.x).

If you are on an older version of the Mac Os, complete the following:

    Install Adobe Air 2.6:

Go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/853/cpsid_85304.html and select the Mac Version of Adobe Air 2.6. Install it.

    Install HogWildPoker:

Go to http://www.hogwildpokerleagues.com/f...ncher4.061.air and install our download.

Unfortunately you will have to load a special version each time we upgrade the system. This is due to Apple/Adobe versions. If your system supports an operating system upgrade, most of our customers have taken their Mac's to the apple store and have upgraded to 2.6.X for about $30.

    Best regards,

    Jeff (Halfboat Jeff)
  20. Thanks, Jeff. Good tips for anyone trying to play HogWild Poker on a Mac.

  22. MoodyBluez,

I have not seen anything sent to support on this but very sorry we missed you. If you are having connection issues, please go to the support option on the black bar at the top of the product. Select the connection options and you will see a check box for "Use Smart Re-connect". Please check that ON. Please write support@hogwildpokerleagues.com and let us know if this fixes your issue. If needed, we can connect with you on the phone and work though the issue. Our support line is 502-212-4441 and we will be happy to help you out.

    Best regards,

    Jeff
  23. I am very new to P5 but have been at HWP for a while now and want to comment... Living in the USA and being able to play online is a treat that I don't think some of you can really understand... I know they have some issues but every time I have had to contact them I have received very fast service abd more than once had Hog Bucks added to my account to offset the inconvience I had. I am not near any brick and morter card rooms so here at least I can get some poker action.

The leagues I have joined at HWP are full of people who are friendly and almost allways courtious, (everyone has a bad day). There are some people who have a lot of expierience and are willing to offer a few tips or constructive critism and some average or poor players (like me) who are there to play and have some fun. I like to think that HWP has helped me refine my game just a little bit and will continue to make me a better player.

Thanks Greg and Jeff for all your doing! Keep up the good work and I will understand that glitches and growing pains happen.
  24. I dont know if I should post this here or in the discussion thread. I would like to see a Hogwild Series of Poker. Not necessarily a P5s league. Maybe a trip to Vegas for the points leader at end of series and some cash and a super amount of HBs for the ME winner. I would also like to see some tourneys of other disciplines such as razz, omaha and stud and fixed limit HE. These will make us better at learning these games and not lose tons of money in the process. Thanks for what you are doing. I love the league and I at least try to get 1-2 games in weekly. Great site, great software and great people
  25. Congrats to "DaddyFatStaxx" for taking down Tuesday night's PocketFives HogWild Poker HDTV added tournament. Well done!

  26. Thanks for the nice comments JAE1957, we appreciate the support.

  27. yjbrewere, I appreciate your suggestions and compliments. We've kicked around some ideas like that, and it's possible that you'll see a HogWild Poker Tour at some point. But as far as a prize with travel cash, I just announced our new Circuit Series in which a monthly winner will get a $1600 circuit event buyin plus $400 cash for travel. We may modify that in the coming months, but we like putting players in live situations where they can win big money.

Also, we have definite plans to introduce new games like the ones you mentioned onto the platform, but unfortunately I can't give you a timeline. Stay tuned....

  28. Greg, not a big deal I guess, but have some questions about Top Hog Freeroll. I know I'm in the darn thing but would like some clarification on how it works when players have qualified from more than one league. Heres the situation, explain me out of my stupor please;

I have qualified with OTR Afternooners for the June 6th game for sure and am showing up in the Top Hog game as registered. I am tied with StevenArtist for 5th in the P5s league and a playoff has been scheduled for us Sunday night. But StevenArtist also already shows up as registered for the Top Hog game June 6th. On the Top Hog Freeroll page it simply shows us both as registered, but does not say what leagues we are representing.

I don't really care what team I play with, would be proud to be on either one. But I would not want to bump Steven from a spot if I already have one and he dosn't. And if we both are in, does someone get the seats we can not play? I assume so as each team needs 5 players. I did go to the HWP forum but did not find answers there, mabey i'm blind, I don't know.

AND, great job on next months schedule of events, prizes, thats fantastic.

  29. Hey, guys. I'm happy to announce that the HogWild Poker PocketFives League is back in June! We're having the exact same setup as in May to make things easy to remember. We'll have four League games on Tuesdays at 9:00pm ET - June 5, 12, 19, and 26. The payouts are as follows:

    1st Place: $150 cash
    2nd Place: $50 cash + PocketFives t-shirt
    3rd Place: $30 cash + PocketFives t-shirt
    4th Place: $20 cash + PocketFives t-shirt
    5th Place: 25,000 Hog Bucks
    6th Place: 25,000 Hog Bucks
    7th Place: 25,000 Hog Bucks
    8th Place: 25,000 Hog Bucks
    9th Place: 25,000 Hog Bucks
    10th Place: 25,000 Hog Bucks

We'll also be bringing the PocketFives Open back to HogWild Poker on Thursday, June 21. This tournament can be found in the PocketFives Special Games League and we'll be signing everyone up for it mid-month. Good luck to all!

You need to sign up for HogWild Poker through PocketFives in order to participate in the PocketFives League, and you can do so here. HWP welcomes USA players and the league is completely free.

  30. G2thV

The top hog is basically two things in one, a straight up freeroll for the top five spots to get some cash and the top team overall gets the same payout. So if your in more than one league all that changes is you have more teammates and thusly a better chance to be on the top team. Both of you are already in, but P5 atleast on paper is a strong team (if they all show up) so it would be advantageous to be on that team.

quick story play to finish in the top five and hope your teammates are doing well.
