when does the $500 freeroll take place where the top five compete as a team and individually? All i can figure out is it does in fact take place, i cannot find anything else anywhere. Will there be an email sent out or is it same time every month or what? can anyone help me?

The monthly Top Hog competition will be July 5th. Within the next week every league's qualifiers will be auto-registered in the Top Hog tournament. It is usually the first Thursday of the month, but sometimes we push it back to give players who tied in some leagues to enough time to play a playoff game. Keep an eye out on the main wall on the HWP app as well for any announcements.

General question for Hogwild admin. You pay for hogwild points and win a small tourney..there is no cash winning a tournament?,even though there is a 1-4 payout or whatever the payout is to the tourney players. It's not in real money but hogbucks and not redeemable?. Explain this site to me. Thanx.

P5ers have won some really cool stuff! It's not easy, lord don't I know it.
It is clear what you can win and how though. If you think u have the chops, try the staking series, good money in that! I can't get through 30 minutes in that dam thing!

Thanx for the info. Supposedly I won and came in second in two tourney for 800 total and have no idea where the money is. Care to let me know where on the site they put your money at when you win it. That is not as easy as you make it seem.

I'm thinking you won Hogbucks, when you log into the client it's in the top right. The only games I know of are Sunday and Wednesday freerolls that pay cash as a prize to top finishers. Some leagues do have cash prizes but you have to compete in the league games and the top point recipients receive the prizes. HWP does have a website, where this is explained. You can click on profile then Hogbuck Activity to see what you've used Hogbucks for and how you've won them as well.

Can you tell me what tourney? Staking Series, Free Roll, that sounds like a lot of money for anything I am aware of. (if your saying 800 real dollars) Are you sure you not referring to Hog Bucks!

Kinda stupid paying for hogbucks and you play just for fun. This site is ridiculous.If I am buying hogbucks I expect to play for cash.no wonder this site is vacant.

When I am playing I have a couple real money games going and sometimes a ring and Tourny on HWP at same time! Seriously, if you don't want to try it fine, but I find the games I play there enjoyable and very competitive. I like it because I practice different playing styles there and I am pretty sure it has helped my game. But be warned, it is not easy to win there! Like any site there are donks, lags, tags, really bad players and good ones. Regs are experienced players that play lots of real money, ol and live. The whole thing is basically set up to force you to actually "grind" to win anything. You know that term, right?

Play or don't play, it may not be for you but lots of people play HWP and love it.

Jimmy, it depends what league you are playing in. If you are playing in a private league, there may be a different points system used that may award you play money instead of HogBucks. It all just depends on the league Admin. It is just one of many different ways you can run a league and tournaments as an Admin.

You can use HogBucks to play ring games, use bounties and other milestone challenges during tournaments, play extra tournaments to win cash and prizes, and more. There are plenty of ways to earn them without purchasing, and most of the HogBuck buy ins do HB payouts just as a normal tournament would. Also, players who enjoy playing the Prize Series' and Staking Series tend to get ranked higher the more tournaments they play.

Unfortunately, it would be illegal for you to purchase HogBucks and then use them to play for real cash. We try very hard to offer a competitive poker environment and give players real, quality chances at winning prizes (HDTV's, iPads, iPods, etc), cash and live tournament buy ins - all while remaining 100% legal and free of cost in the US.

We hope you give us another shot and come back and play. I promise if you give us a little time, HWP will grow on you and so will our community of great players. Good luck!
