How does rakeback work?

    Silly question, but I have never claimed rakeback before and don't actually know how it works.

    Can you only only claim rakeback for cash games or can you claim a little on SNG's also?

    I play exclusively on pokerstars now so any advice on how to claim rakeback would be appreciated.

    to get rakeback you need to set it up before you make your account.

    most sites give rakeback on evrything, sngs, cash, and MTTs.

    pokerstars doesnt have rakeback but instead has the VIP program.

    To get a little more into detail here, essentially the way we offer players rakeback is that poker sites pay us a % of the rake that's generated by those who sign up new accounts via the offers in the rakeback area of P5s. We pay back most of that money (as much as the poker sites allow us) to those players as an incentive to take part in our program.

    On top of that, we're also able to offer extras like rake races and freerolls every month for our players.

    As the poster above stated, you can't get a traditional rakeback deal on pokerstars. You can use the VIP program there to earn VIP bonuses, but if you're not at least SuperNova you won't be getting nearly as much back as you would on Full Tilt, Cake, or any of our other flat % rakeback offers.

    If you are interested in signing up for a rakeback deal, make sure that you visit the rakeback area of P5s before doing so, choose the poker site you want to play on there, and follow the steps on that page to properly sign up your poker site account.     Is there a 'cap" on the rakeback or does it roll on forever?

    No cap - it's an ongoing benefit.
