I guess its kind of true. I opened an account at BlackChipPoker (couldn't do that like 2 weeks ago when i tried) But when i go to type in my details to deposit it says that "We are not accepting players from your country at this time."

Merge is re-accepting US poker players from 10pm Pacific Time tonight, according to sources close to the network.
This is great news for American poker players who are looking for another room to play on, but some details are still unconfirmed. However, players in Maryland, Washington, New York, Louisiana, Missouri, Washington DC and Kentucky remain banned network wide.
We will update this article as more information comes to light."
This is the story on pokerupdate.com
The person emailed Carbon and said he got this response back...
Thank you for contacting us.
This is a quick note to inform you that we will be accepting new US players in less than 48 hours. However, your account is already Active and good to go."
Reason: dcma edit -
I'm from Missouri and continue to pla, guess they just can't sign up for stuff anymore, but if you had an account youre good...
-
Does this mean US players can sign up on pokerview as well??
-
u sure bout this?? theyve been saying this for months now. if my friend were to sign up on pokerview they can deposit? sounds kind too good lol
ohh tonight i see -
and will dep work the same or what
-
Thoughts on what this will do the fields? Will they be softer? Stronger? About the same?
-
I think they will be softer!
Merge has alot of solid regs in the mid stakes, hope this brings a lot of casual players. -
Something tells me this thread is gonna be ugly tomorrow. I'm not a fan of Merge, I think this info is rigged.
-
Think this might have anything to do with America's Cardroom buying Doyle's room? Maybe both of these are signs of legalization in the near future?
-

And this found on 2+2;
"Some cautious Merge licenses like BlackChipPoker and Aced will continue to block American players, but there is no doubt others will view this as a lucrative opportunity to attract what remains of the American poker playing population."
Whatever! -
Passing on info from 2p2...but a member there emailed carbon and this was their response:
"Dear John,
Thank you for contacting us.
This is a quick note to inform you that we will be accepting new US players in less than 48 hours. However, your account is already Active and good to go."

Seems like a pretty sure thing at this point. Not sure how I feel about it though. It seems like they are already having a ton of issues with customer support/slow cashouts and a rush of volume could cause some serious issues IMO. Guess we will see with time. -
Im guessing we will see more regs signing up then the avid recreational player. Many of them prollly look at poker being deemed illegal and will wait until the government regulates it. Seems like I know a handful of players waiting for this to happen. Prolly tougher fields but hopefully guarantees will begin increasing...

I received an email from PokerView support stating that they will be accepting us players within 24 hours. Says to check back. but im hearing that some of their other skins will remain closed huh
-
someone on 2+2 says that they just opened a real money account on RPM
-
Thats what my inclination is too, but who knows. I just feel like the average casual player won't be tuned in enough to know that this is happening, or will be reluctant to deposit much at first.

Just tried signing up on Carbon, was able to go through the whole sign up process, and wouldn't allow it because I was from Missouri, but I'd give it a shot if from an allowable state.
