I actually like the look of the tables better now. Especially when I've got several open so they're smaller on the screen, they are much more detailed than they were before.
But, as others have said, the main lobby is a joke now and the tournament lobbies are super laggy. I also hate seeing the gtd's getting slashed but hopefully thats just a minor setback and they will pick back up soon. -
Just an update regarding refunds from unplayable events. Im still awaiting a response regarding 2 of them, I got asked to submit tournament Id's which I did I then followed up 2days later, they asked for the same thing, and the same again.
The money itself isn't the issue but the principle is. -
This may be a really stupid question, but honestly what's the difference between a guarantee & a prizepool? Prizepool being the $ distribution of the guarantee or? I'd love to find a way to justify playing some online mtts I really miss them (not that I ever did great but still). Even sngs are withering away and cash games aren't a good fit with my personality.
-
A prizepool is made up solely of the buyin less fee. So if 100 people sign up to a $2+20c thats a $200 prizepool. In a guaranteed, if they say the price pool is $200 and the buyin is $2+20c if 100 people sign up the buyin is still $200 regardless of if 50 people sign up, but if say 200people sign up the prizepool is now $400.
A gtd is basically a way of setting a minimum to the prizepool on a site like pokerstars the gtd is usually exceeded but on merge theres alot of times when it doesnt so its basically bonus funds. -

we call this an overlay sir
:D -
I knew there was a term for it but either way its bonus money :p
-
Haha thanks guys I appreciate it. I'm familiar with the overlay concept, I guess I was a bit confused by Tyson's wording and thought maybe I was missing something. Unfortunately overlays don't mean much to me with merge game and pay structures, reg infested fields, still not something I want to spend time or my own $ trying to beat.

anybody else having trouble adding notes to players now?
-
Has anyone been able to deposit on any Merge site since the upgrade with a Netspend Visa card? I have not and it's driving me crazy!
-
The lower limits hu cash games are I think; at least I couldn't find any. I saw 2-4$+, maybe 1-2$ but no lower. 45 man sngs are also gone
-
I can't figure out how to see my fpp status and how much I have to the next level. etc..
