i do have a name and play once in a while, i don't really see a point in grinding it a lot since it's hard to get paid/etc.
even if i never played, not sure how this would make my opinion not valid though....

Gotta look at the postives, we have a decent series coming up. Life is good. Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day. So therefore I don't expect Merge to come out with the Sunday Million, yet....

im excited. I haven't had much to get excited about poker wise. after alot of time off I'm trying to grind a little roll again. looks like i now have something to grind towards. im in the black as far as what i originally put on and have already cashed out so its all gravy at this point.
i gotta get playing, getting better for the future. not only will online come back big, but my state will have local casinos soon. poker is not my primary income but it will definitely be a supplemental income going forward. series like this are great cause i get really excited and will take some shots i wouldn't otherwise take.
good shit. im actually playing again tonight and am enjoying it like the old days. snacks on five minute breaks, podcast on. fuck the world just me and my buttons to clicks. -
looking forward to this

Getting so excited over this series seems a big excessive... Without even seeing the schedule, just by looking at the main event and high roller event numbers, I agree with Gags, it just plain out makes me sad... I don't play on the merge network much bc its a joke compared to stars, ongame, etc. but will probably play a little of this series... however, overall they need to add a hsmtt series to merge bc it will attract more high stakes players... its a step in the right direction for merge but the buyins are gonna be ridiculously small

I think Merge would like to have more a high stakes mtt thing going on but it really comes down to the fact that the players really aren't willing/able to support it.
For one, players really arent willing to keep the kind of rolls online that they will need to play a hsmtt schedule. Keeping 10k+ online (in a US site) doesn't really seem like a good idea anymore.
The other problem is that Merge really doesn't have a high enough volume of players to really make it ez to grind up a roll. stars had/has the 180 and 45 mans and a lot players used those to grind up a roll to then move onto mtts with. On Merge you kinda just have to deposit whatever you are willing to lose and hope you can bink something pretty quickly. -
As a small-midstakes player from the US this is very exciting for us. Yeah it's no wcoop or ftops, as much as we would love to have something like that it's just not realistic. So for them to put up a decent series with larger then normal prizepool and player draws this is going to be great for players stuck in the US grinding the merge.

Big Huni I think you are in the Bagger Vance state . You might as well forget the series that were on Stars and Tilt like a hot girlfriend that broke up with you. Its over , and never coming back! Time to move on

When will the sattys begin? Also, when will the schedule be released?
-
in regards to a better high stakes schedule, merge is not a us only site. if they added a few higher buyin mtts they could attract some more foreign players instead of there being 8 americans on every mtt table. merge software is pretty decent, might even be the 2nd best site in my opinion, there just isnt a whole lotta options in the mtt schedule compared to stars.
ps. obv it doesnt compare to stars but it wouldnt take much to become better than ongame and party. -
Good point, & I agree the software is decent. Regarding row players, are the payouts more & faster? I'd expect so & if that's the case than it'd be nice if more showed up. There seem to be some on the micro cash tables, probably a higher % than bodog had when i could see, before the sweet update they did.

Here is Rizen's post of 2+2. How much do you have to rake to get Black VIP?
You guys know how reluctant I've been to say anything official on the subject until I was positive the dates/timeframes would be relatively accurate.
On or before Feb 1st there will be withdrawals both by check (which I know isn't exactly new) and wire (which is).
Both will be available in the casino. Checks will be available to VIP players of all levels and have a max limit of $3000 and take 2-3 weeks from what I've been told.
Wires will only be available to Black and Black Elite VIPs, have a max limit of $9900 and also take about 2-3 weeks.
Thanks
-Rizen -
I think it's $1k raked, to the first level it's $100 I know
