More FTP shenanigans

    So an FTOPS or two ago (not that long ago) my HEM was fuckin up and I was looking for some software to use to get some stats. I download this software called PokerEdge. I try it out and it sucks ass so I stop using it. Today I'm temp banned from FTP for two days with a warning that if I ever get cought using a banned software again that I'm banned from the site forever and my funds will be taken. No warning to uninstall or cease and desist. Now, I understand that I broke the rules by using banned software, but 2 day temp ban and threat to close out my account forever for an obvious mistake after puttin in 5+ years on the tables at mid-high volume? Thanks a ton, FTP, alienate much?

    I don't understand your problem. You used a software that is banned of FT and you want a warning? You have been playing there for 5+ years so I think you should know better than to use those programs. You should be lucky they didn't just ban you and take your funds.

    i dont know what is going on in some peoples heads. maybe the 5 years of high volume is scrambling his brains

    I just dont get why HEM is ok but poker edge and you are lifetime banned?

    i mean arent they the same thing?

    why is HEM fine but poker edge is lifetime ban?

    to me thats kind of messed up?

    HEM probably hits full tilt with a nice contribution ($$$$) while poker edge isn't willing. Yes, it is REAL messed up.

    People responding on this thread are tilting me. PokerEdge & HEM are 'not' basically the same thing. PokerEdge has data-mined hands take from a huge database of hands (millions of them).... you're getting player stats. from tons of hands your opponents have played without playing on their tables. It is clearly against the rules & most who've been online for any period of time know this (along with some others, ie. PokerCrusher).

    Agree with PO, it has to do with the rules of FTP. You are allowed to use your own hand histories in a database and HUD format. You are not allowed to use centralized database of hands you weren't involved in. Likewise, if there was a way to catch you, its illegal to buy thousands of hands from someone and import them into your HEM or PT3, but its perfectly fine on FTP & stars if just using your own hands only.
