  1. Ok so pretty much exactly what the title says.
I will be moving to the UK this April for an unknown amount of time (anywhere from 3 months up depending on how much im liking it there)
Question is will i need to change my country of residence with pokerstars even if im keeping my aussie bank account active?? and is there anything else i should know that i need to do in relation to this??

    Cheers rock_it_bad
  2. email stars and explain your situation, i think they will be more than helpful
  3. Don't forget a raincoat, a massive amount of tolerance for rain and lots of changes of clothes as you'll get wet everytime you do something stupid like venture outside...

Its not that bad, infact we have had a very mild winter but in comparison to OZ you will need more clothes than a few t-shirts and shorts OP.

It IS that bad. I've been back in England for two weeks and I want to leave again already.
  6. LOL, its summer in Aus and it snowed in parts of Victoria the other day.

OP, email stars as suggested above. Players have moved around a lot recently and depending no how you request payouts and other things you may need to update your details to ensure you get the best turnarounds.

Still not 100% sure on that its really gonna depend on what sorta work im gonna be able to get.
The company that im doing it through "Visa First" sets you up with work/accommodation/phones/internet etc and its gonna take about 6 weeks to get everything in order. I really dont have anywhere in particular that id rather be more than anywhere else so pretty much what sorta work i can get will dictate where i end up staying.. You got any ideas on places that would be better than others or anywhere i should try to avoid??

  10. the south and south east has better weather and close links to major cities like brighton, london and southampton and france is only a short train trip away through the channel tunnel but it is more expensive living down south and up north has some great night life and is a bit cheaper to live so its really depends on what experiences you want whilst your here.
  11. There's no where in England you should avoid really - except some small areas in some cities but they won't put you there.

What are you after in terms of experience?

London has everything but it's very expensive and crowded and when you blow your nose you'll see black snot. :D

Manchester's quieter but half the price of London and the people are much nicer. The air's cleaner too but it rains more.
  12. To foreigners I found people are nicer in London (where I lived for 3 years) than in Manchester by far. If you are single, London is one of the best places in the world to be.

Yeah its starting to look like London is going to be where i will get set up, as for what im after in terms of experience im basically just after something new.
I'm litterally going around in circles where i am at the moment, i live in a small country town on the beach and nothing is new here anymore.. everytime i go out its the same people doing the same thing in the same town. Same goes for my work i mean yeah i have a good job and i make enough money to pay rent and still have a few luxurys like my home internet/pay tv/phone plan etc.
But basically feel like ive already taken everything this town has to offer me being that i grew up here did my schooling here and now work here, I'm feeling like the change there being new country, new people, new work, new girls, new poker tables.. i mean the opportunities seem endless and if i didnt leave now i could end up with some boring ass girl ive known since primary school in a town i never left.. anyways enough rambling on cheers for all your input guys and if anyone is even half interested will keep posted on how its going once i get there :)

  14. Gl! Have fun. But ffs venture outside London (and I don't mean just outside the M25) at least once - the rest of the country is totally different.

Where on earth are you living? It literally hasn't rained here in London for over a week.
  16. Lol.. Lancashire. I have to admit last 4-5 days we've not had rain... Check the date of the posts...
It's too cold to go outside though.
